âAuntie Kendra is not the bad guy She wanted to bring me to Mommy Emmeline. That granny is the bad one!â
âTimmy, donât trust them. Both of them are bad, they wanted to earn money through you.â Alana said.
âAuntie Kendra is not!â
âYou donât have to defend her. They didnât know your identity yet. If they knew you belonged to the Ryker family, it would have been more complicated.â
âAuntie Kendra is not like what you said!â
âThen what kind of person is she? Although I never met her, I could have imagined how desperate she is,â Alana refuted âThatâs enough. What Timothy said is true. That woman seems quite nice,â Abel said sternly.
âMr. Abel, are you speaking for a human trafficker?â Alana asked.
âAuntie Kendra is not a human trafficker. Itâs that granny!â Timothy exclaimed. âAuntie Kendra got beaten by her husband because of protecting me!â
Abel believed his son because his son was smart although he was still young.
âWhat I said is true. Auntie Kendra fed me well. She also argued with the granny to protect me.â
âIs it?â
Kendraâs mother-in-law was a vicious woman.
âTimmy, why Kendra sent you to Emmeline but not Daddy and Mommy? It seems like she had some ill intentions.â Alana looked upset.
âItâs me who wanted to go to Mommy Emmeline. I donât want to see you. I hate you!â
âHow could you say that? Didnât you see Mommy rushing here to save you? I was still feeling unwell.â
Timothy huffed. He didnât understand Alanaâs behavior. He knew he hated her and he felt that she was faking something that made him sick.
Couldnât Daddy see it? He must be blind.
âFine. Weâll do what fimmy wants. Letâs meet her. If she kidnapped Timmy, she wouldnât get away with it.â Abel warned.
Timothy was getting teary, âI said it wasnât her. Why couldnât you all believe me?â
âItâs not that we donât believe you. Youâre still a kid. You wouldnât be able to differentiate it.â Alana hugged Timothy while she explained to him.
âLet go of me. Donât pretend that youâre a good person!â Timothy yelled.
âMr. Abel! Look at him,â Alana complained.
âWe will know the truth once we reach the police station. They will do an investigation on her.â
Luca drove them back to Struyria. They had a meal at the rest area and reached at 4 pm.
Timothy fell asleep at the back of the car. Abel was worried about him and he changed places with Alana to watch over him.
Luca drove them to the police station. Abel and Alana came down from the car.
Coincidentally, they saw Kendra coming out carrying a baby.
Kendra was surprised, âYouâve found Timothy right?â
âHm.â Abel nodded.
Iâm sorry, Mr. Abel. I wanted to send Timothy back after my part- time job but he wanted me to send him to a cafe at Gold Street. He wanted to meet up with Emmeline.â Kendra sniffled.
âI never thought that my mother- in-law would have bad intentions. How could she do something like that when Iâm not around?
Timothy was traumatized and the worst could happen. Iâm very sorry about it.â Kendra lowered her head with teary eyes.
âWho are you kidding with? If it was not you who kidnapped my child, will your mother-in-law have the chance to do that? I think the both of you are in cahoots!â Alana questioned her.
