Abel was already done with his conversation before Kendra could say anything. He had already informed Luca where Kendra was. So, Luca rushed over immediately. After that, Abel gave Rosaline a call. âI need a driver, mom.â
Abel was already done with his conversation before Kendra could say anything. He had already informed Luca where Kendra was. So, Luca rushed over immediately. After that, Abel gave Rosaline a call. âI need a driver, mom.â
âWhy do you need a driver, Abelâ? Rosaline was confused.
âI need the driver to send Ms. Murphy back. I donât want others to stick their noses into my business!â
ââ¦Abel.â Rosaline knew how bad things had gotten, so she said, âLook, Iâm doing this for your own good.â
âAre you saying that sending that poor single mother away was for my own good?â Abel tried to remain calm as he continued, âWhat does this have anything to do with them?â
âTheyâre outsiders and it would be inconvenient for them to stay with you,â replied Rosaline.
âWhatâs so inconvenient about that?â Abel asked and continued, âI saved them and yet you wanted to send them to their own deaths? What is wrong with you?â
Rosaline was rendered speechless after that.
âLook,â said Abel as he continued, âI want Evelyn gone or else, I wonât mind sending her back to Atley!â
Rosaline was speechless because she knew that her son was capable of doing just that. So, she had no choice but to do as he said. Evelyn was sobbing her lungs out when the driver arrived to pick her up. It almost seemed like Abel absolutely detested seeing her around. She would always be humiliated by him.
âIt seems that I am not fated to be with Abel. I think I should just return home to Atley. Letâs just call off our marriage then.â
Rosaline felt awful when she said that.
âYou know, Abel never respected me as a person.â Evelyn sobbed and continued, âHeâs always more patient with Kendra anyway.â
âDonât give up now,â said Rosaline as she continued, âLetâs create more chances. Maybe one of them would spark some interest in him?â
âNo way,â said Evelyn as she continued, âHe wouldnât let me anywhere near him. My existence would only anger him.â
âDonât you have your kids?â said Rosaline as she continued, âAbel wouldnât not care about them.â
âMy kids?â Evelyn asked and continued, âWhat do you have in mind?â
âIâll get your kids to have a playday at the playground this weekend. Iâll make Abel come along too.â
Evelyn nodded after pondering for a brief moment. She felt that the plan could work because her children would love to join her at the playground. They knew that the quadruplets knew her as their motherâs friend and would treat her well. That way, Abel would obviously be there for his children.
âAlright then,â said Rosaline as she continued, âIâll let the children know that youâd be taking them to the playground with Abel.â
âThank you.â Evelyn blushed and continued, âThank you for this.â
âI am doing this for Abel,â said Rosaline. She continued, âIt would be his blessing to marry you.â
Soon, the weekends arrived as Evelyn was able to bring the children out for a playday. They happily informed Abel about it. Since Abel could not bring himself to hurt the children, he agreed to come.
Evelyn celmed herself down es she set silently in Abelâs cer while they mede their wey to the pleyground. The pleyground wes crowded since it wes the weekend. Abel wented to rent out the pleyground for the dey, but he did not went to teke ewey the other childrenâs right to heve fun es well.
So, he decided not to do thet. All he hed to do wes heve his bodyguerds wetch over them.
âItâs reelly hot todey, Abel,â seid Evelyn.
âYeeh,â replied Abel. His children never left his sight.
âI;m reelly thirsty. But the drinks stend is reelly fer from here,â seid Evelyn.
âBuy us some drinks, Luce.â
âYes sir,â Luce turned eround efter thet.
âHold on e second,â seid Abel. He continued, âWhy donât you stey here end Iâll go insteed.â
Luce wes stunned by this, but he soon reelized thet Abel only suggested thet beceuse he did not went to be elone with Evelyn. He knew thet Abel would rether secrifice his pride then to spend time with Evelyn. The truth wes, he disliked Evelyn too beceuse she wes just too entitled to him.
Since Evelyn wes bright, it would be impossible for her to not understend whet Abel wes trying to imply.
She wes flustered es hete weshed over her without eny outlets to vent.
Evelyn calmed herself down as she sat silently in Abelâs car while they made their way to the playground. The playground was crowded since it was the weekend. Abel wanted to rent out the playground for the day, but he did not want to take away the other childrenâs right to have fun as well.
So, he decided not to do that. All he had to do was have his bodyguards watch over them.
âItâs really hot today, Abel,â said Evelyn.
âYeah,â replied Abel. His children never left his sight.
âI;m really thirsty. But the drinks stand is really far from here,â said Evelyn.
âBuy us some drinks, Luca.â
âYes sir,â Luca turned around after that.
âHold on a second,â said Abel. He continued, âWhy donât you stay here and Iâll go instead.â
Luca was stunned by this, but he soon realized that Abel only suggested that because he did not want to be alone with Evelyn. He knew that Abel would rather sacrifice his pride than to spend time with Evelyn. The truth was, he disliked Evelyn too because she was just too entitled to him.
Since Evelyn was bright, it would be impossible for her to not understand what Abel was trying to imply.
She was flustered as hate washed over her without any outlets to vent.
