I blinked twice looking at his face, dumbfounded.

“What did you say?” I asked him, unsure if I had actually heard correctly.

“I said you’ll do gr—”

“No,” I cut him off. “What did you call me?”

I saw him get flustered as he looked down at our feet and scratched the back of his head.

“Oh, um… Rory,” he sheepishly responded as if he’d just committed a serious crime.

“It’s the first time you’ve ever called me by my nickname,” I whispered, more to myself than to him.

“I’ve actually wanted to call you like that ever since I heard Max do it,” he said. “But I won’t call you that if you don’t like it.”

“No… please don’t stop calling me Rory. I love the sound of it coming from your voice,” I confessed, and I swear, his face lit up like the fourth of July.

“Rory… You are mine, Rory,” he said before he pecked my lips.

“I am yours, as you are mine… Wolfie,” I said in between kisses.

His body rumbled as he chuckled.

“What’s so funny?” I asked, amused at his sweet laughter.

“I’ve always hated that nickname, thanks to Max, but somehow hearing you say it sounds good.”

“Well, it very much should, because I'll be calling you that from now on,” I said as I giggled.

“So… if you guys are done choosing each other’s pet names, could you hurry to the office?”

Max's voice cut us out of our trance as he stood at the foot of the stairs, his arms crossed over his chest. “Everyone's been waiting.”

“And you had to ruin the moment. I don’t recall ever interrupting you and your mate when you were in your honeymoon phase.” Wolfgang growled while I giggled at their banter.

“Come on guys, we have less than twelve hours to prepare everything. I suggest you carry on whatever you two were doing afterwards.”

Max waved at us as he walked off to Wolfgang’s office with us following behind.

Once inside, nerves took me over once more. Wolfgang guided me through the crowded office towards the long meeting table, taking his seat at the head of it.

I saw Max take the only other empty chair to his right, Remus was on the left, and they each had their mates on their sides, followed by the elders and Mrs. Kala.

I was about to walk off to the empty chair at the end of the table when Wolfgang grabbed my arm and made me sit on his lap.

Even though they were all faces I knew, they all looked at me expectantly, and I knew I was crimson red on my cheeks because of how much my face heated up.

Thankfully, Wolfgang reassured me while he rubbed my back soothingly.

“Alpha, Luna. I see you’ve finally completed the marking ceremony,” Elder Asher said. “All that’s left is for you to present her as our Luna.”

Everyone’s eyes zeroed in on the mark I left on Wolfgang’s neck last night.

“Should we expect to bring forth the ceremony before schedule?” Elder Aldo asked.

“We need our Luna to sync with the rest of the pack. That way she’ll be able to mind-link us in case of dangers like the incident with the hunters.”

“Luckily our Rory is a badass and she handled them like a champ,” Max cheered and they all agreed as I sat there, feeling uncomfortable being the center of attention.

Suddenly everyone stood up and bowed their heads as they bared their neck to us. I didn’t understand what was going on until Wolfgang spoke.

“We may begin the meeting.” He said and that’s when I realized he was emanating his alpha aura. Everyone took their seats.

“We are here today to organize the gathering in honor of the visiting pack’s alpha, who is in search of her fated mate. Every unmated pack member is obliged to attend.”

“The gathering shall be in the pack’s yards considering the number of unmated wolves. Do we have that information, Remus?”

Wolfgang spoke with his usual stoic mask up as he led the meeting.

I felt so out of place. I didn’t know what to say or when to even speak. I was deep in my own thoughts; I hadn't realized that Mrs. Kala was addressing me.

“Luna Aurora?”

“Yes!” I answered, flustered.

“What colors should we have the decorations done in? Also, what menu should be served at the banquet? Do you want the meal buffet style or rather have the maids assigned to each table?”

She spewed question after question while everyone silently sat, waiting for my answer.

“I… I think we should go with a buffet style. We won’t have enough time to select and post each maid for the event.” I said to which she smiled and agreed.

“Very well. As for the colors?”

“Since the event is in honor of Alpha Sierra finding her fated mate, we should find out what her favorite colors are and go with that.”

She nodded and wrote it down on her pad. “Very well Luna. I’ll have the maid attending to our guest to inquire about her two favorite colors and go from there.”

We wrapped up the details soon after.

“You did great babe,” Wolfgang whispered in my ears as he gave my shoulder a light kiss.

I smiled back at him.

Before I could say it was thanks to him being by my side, I was dragged by Mrs. Kala, Aspen, and Emma out of the office, barely giving me a chance to even say goodbye to my mate.

“C’mon! No time to waste,” Aspen shouted as they hurled me down the stairs and out to the yard where the maids were already bustling and moving around, placing tables and chairs.

I guess I was about to have a really long day.
