Chapter 67: New Quest Orionâs heart ached looking at the pitiful state of the elf. âHaa... well, I need to head back as well.â
He then looked back at his hand and the knife. âDamn sharp knife, it cut through my skin?â
[Butcherâs Knife (???)
Description: ???]
âFuck, itâs a high-grade treasure at least.â Orionâs lips twitched. He didnât expect even a normal worker here would have treasures above Tier 7.
He handed the knife back while Edgar paid the vendor. The vendorâs hands trembled faintly as he accepted the payment, smiling so wide it nearly split his face.
"Haha, happy doing business with you, Young Master. We have lots of more exotic goods here. Would you like to see them?" The vendor rubbed his palms together and quickly said.
"Nah, I need to head back now." Orion shook his head and turned around. Edgar followed after him.
Yet after a few steps, he turned around to see that the elven girl hadnât moved a single step.
"Haaa..." He softly exhaled and came back toward her, gently holding her hand. "Letâs go back to my home, alright? We can chat there."
The elven girl neither agreed nor disagreed. Orion helplessly shook his head and gently pulled her hand, taking her with him.

âBonus rewards, huh?â He quickly glanced at the system screen before dismissing the prompts. âIâll use the SP later and the title...I will look at the details in night. For now...â His thoughts trailed off as the trio exited the store.
Just as they took a few steps back along the way they came from, a voice echoed from behind.
"Ahaha! Young Master! I knew you would be able to find her." Lucan came out of nowhere and bowed respectfully to Orion.
"Letâs go. About time we head home." Orion shook his head at him and continued moving forward.
"Here, Young Master, let the little missy wear this mask." He took out a mask from nowhere and handed it to Orion.
He nodded, understanding the danger of exposing her identity inside the slave market. He softly made her wear the mask before walking ahead.
Lucan followed closely behind with Edgar. He used a simple mana technique to speak with Edgar without moving his lips.
âSir Edgar, is she safe? She isnât a spy from the Elven Empire, right?â he cautiously asked.
âDidnât you go to investigate the background of all the elves inside the establishment? What did you find out?â Edgar looked at him meaningfully and asked.
Lucan rubbed his chin while walking. âThatâs the interesting thing. I found out nearly everything about all the elves... except her. The only thing written was that a group of hunters found her in the Great Wilderness and brought her here to sell just a few days ago.â
Edgar looked deeply at the malnourished girl. âThey brought her back safely?â
âYes,â Lucan nodded. âA beast heavily injured the hunter teamâs vice leader. So they traveled day and night without stopping and sold her here to get some money for his treatment. And before anyone could have bought her, Young Master arrived.â
Edgar thought for a moment. âOnce we reach the mansion, send one of your men to look for the hunter team, and find out all the details about her that you can.â
Lucan nodded his head silently. They both continued following after Orion, who gently held the elven girl, who seemed to trip at every other step.
âSigh... how light is she? I feel like I could throw her across a street.â Orion lamented while gently supporting her, fearing she might break.
The group continued heading out of the underground place. They soon reached the exit, ascending from the winding tunnel.
"Haa... finally some fresh air." Orion softly murmured, feeling the soft, chilling breeze of the outside world brushing against his face.
The elven girl finally raised her head and looked at the clear sky. Her eyes faintly sparked with something before they dimmed again as she lowered her gaze.
He closely observed her, sighing lightly. "Alright, prepare the carriage."
Lucan hurriedly nodded his head and pulled up the carriage. Orion softly asked, "Can you get up?"
To which he got no reaction from her. He lightly exhaled and gently picked her up in a princess carry and took her up inside the carriage.
Carrying her felt less like holding a person and more like holding a dry stickânearly weightless and fragile.
He quickly placed her beside him in the carriage and finally removed his mask. "Haa... I can finally breathe."
Turning his head, he saw her face covered by a mask. With gentle hands, he removed it for her as well.
What emerged was an above-average-looking face for an elfâwhich was already considered quite beautiful among humans. She had green hair and blue eyes, looking quite enchanting in itself.
âHmm... why does she seem so... weird? As if I canât see her?â Orion inwardly muttered.
The elven girl didnât react at all as he removed her mask and stared at her.
"Uncle Edgar, do you know whatâs wrong with her? Why isnât she reacting to anything at all?" he asked once Edgar sat down opposite them.
Edgar curiously looked at the elf, noticing her unfocused gaze. "You better ask Lady Selene about this, Young Master. Iâm no expert on this. All I know is fighting and killing."
"HAHAHA," Lucan laughed out loud from the front of the carriage. "Sir Edgar is quite the brute, Young Master. He only pretends to be sophisticated here. You should see him when he fights."
"Hoh? Looks like you arenât getting enough training, Lil Lucan." Edgar said with a calm smile.

Lucan became silent as not even a hum of acknowledgment came from him. It was as if he vanished. If not for the fact that Orion could see him right through the window, he would have really thought Lucan jumped down from the carriage.
"So, I should talk with Grandma about her, huh? Well, maybe thatâs all I can do. Hopefully they wonât react negatively." He nodded his head.
âYou got any idea, Lil Lumi?â
[Noi! I canât really look at the condition of other peopleâs bodies, Master. You need to unlock more of your Eye of Revelationâs abilities for that.。ï¾ï½¥ï¼>_ <ï¼ï½¥ï¾ï½¡]
Orion calmly nodded his head. âWell, donât worry. Itâs not the first time youâve proved yourself useless.â
[Nuuuuu!! Why are you so harsh today? (ಥ_ಥ)]
