Chapter 110
Winston was stunned. He couldnât believe that she had actually blocked him.
He called Millie right away but discovered that his number was also blocked when he attempted to call but couldnât reach her. He instantly felt upset and overwhelmed with anger.
She was so bold that she even dared to block him. Moreover, she was perfectly fine while eating just now. So why did she suddenly lose her mind when she went to the bathroom? Wasnât she the one who used to want to be with him every day?
Winston glared at Millieâs halfâfinished meal on the table, feeling annoyed. He strode up and walked out. At the cash register, the boss said, âMr. Greer, Mrs. Greer has already settled the bill.â
Winston was even more frustrated. He felt humiliated that his own wife paid the bill when they went out to eat together.
âWhen did she leave?â Winston asked coldly.
The boss glanced at the clock and replied, âFifteen minutes ago.â
Fifteen minutes ago? Winston retrieved his phone and checked his call log. Wasnât that the exact time when he was engaged in conversation with Joanna?
Did she overhear him conversing with Joanna on the phone? Did jealousy or anger set in, prompting her to block him through all means?
After thinking about it, Winstonâs anger gradually faded. He realized that she was simply playing hard
to get.
âMiss, there seems to be a car following us.â Millie was just about to fall asleep when she heard the cab driver speaking.
Millie opened her eyes and glanced back, spotting a RollsâRoyce. She immediately recognized it as the Lowell familyâs car.
âItâs alright, sir. Just drive as usual.â Millie told the driver to focus on driving.
The driver nodded. âOkay.â
Joanna sent someone to follow her. What was she afraid of? Did she fear that Winston, whom she firmly believed loved her, would develop feelings for his exâwife and decide not to marry her?
In the RollsâRoyce, Joanna seethed with anger as she thought about Winstonâs actions of sending her home and returning to Millie. Moreover, it happened more than once.
Winston belonged to her, and she was determined to be a part of the Greer family. She would not let anything stop her.
If Millie and Winston couldnât separate through divorce, then Joanna would have to employ some cunning strategies. The thought made her grasp her fists tightly, her gaze turning even icier.

In the early morning, a Maybach stopped in front of Yerwick Menâs Prison. In the visiting area, a prison guard escorted a man in his 40s with a scraggly beard.
âNo. 2823, heâs your visitor,â the prison guard reminded 2823.
2823 lifted his head. In the vacant visiting room, a man in a black suit stood tall with his back facing him. 2823 asked, âWho are you?â
Winston slowly slid his hands into his pockets and turned, locking eyes with the exhausted man. In a moment of realization, the manâs eyes widened before swallowing hard.
It was Winston, the man he kidnapped. He had been sentenced to life imprisonment and would spend the rest of his days behind bars because of it.
Not only that, but he also had his little finger chopped off on the very first night he arrived. Winston was truly terrifying.
Winston struggled to contain his anger. Just the sight of that man reignited his desire to kill him. If he hadnât been saved in time, the consequences would be disastrous.
âOne question. Answer me truthfully,â Winston said, placing his hands on the table and leaning in to look at the man.
The manâs teeth were clenched, his chest tightened, and his shoulders shook as he looked at Winston. He tugged at his collar, and the handcuffs emitted a sharp click. âOkay.â
Winston whispered, âDo you remember who followed you to rescue me?â
