Chapter 148
Milllé quietly cursed Marvin over and over. She changed into a new outfit and rushed out to meet with Winston in her flashy purple Pagani. She dared not be late.
Meanwhile, Winston gracefully enjoyed his breakfast His mannerisms were impeccable.
She rolled her eyes at his pretentiousness. Ell, standing by Winstonâs side, nodded at her. âMadam Millie, please take a seat.â
She pursed her lips and proceeded to take her seat, but Winston suddenly asked, âWho says you could sit?â.
Millie and Eli exchanged looks. Eli said apologetically, âMr.Greer, Iâll wait for you outside.â
Eli wanted to get out for fear of stumbling even more
Millie watched as Eli left. She then turned to Winston and took her seat, defying his orders. She might have shown up as he requested, but that didnât mean she was scared of him!
Frowning, he glared at her and snapped, âDid I ask you to take a seat?â
âWhy did you make me come here, then? Watch you eat your breakfast?â she retorted indignantly.
For a second, he found himself agreeing with her, but soon, he collected his thoughts. âMillie Caldwell, letâs be clear, I asked to meet because we need to settle the score. I didnât invite you for breakfast.
She muttered, âWell, since Iâm already here, why not? Then, she reached out for the pancakes, but he slapped the back of her hand.
She sighed. âFine. I wonât eat. Happy now?â
Millie massaged the back of her hand with a scowl. She thought, âWhat a petty man!â
Winston chuckled. What was with that attitude? She seemed disgruntled somehow.
âHow can you sulk at me after you paid others to hack my company and my phone?â he confronted her.
She lowered her head. Keeping her silence, she rubbed the back of her hand nervously.
âYou spent five million dollars to hack into my company.â Pursing his lips, he questioned, âMillie Caldwell, do you think you can splurge?â
Glancing at him, she replied wittily, âYou said Iâll get half of the Greer Group. It is indeed a windfall.â
She amassed a lot of wealth without putting in any effortâthe definition of a windfall indeed.
Winston found himself at a loss for words. Gripping the knife tightly, he soon slammed it on the table. The food wobbled from the movement, and she salivated at the sight of the breakfast.
She was famished:
Winston realized that all Millie could think about was food. She wasnât paying attention to him at all. He wondered if she was being serious.

âMillie Caldwell, you need to be responsible for the losses suffered by Greer Group!â He raised his
voice.
Nodding obediently, she said, âFine. Take my company shares to cover the losses.â
Winston nearly choked. Was she doing this to him on purpose?
âMillie Caldwell!â he hissed.
Standing still, she purred, âYeah?â
He admitted that he was all worked up because of her. He never noticed how good she was at fooling around.
âAlright, now. Itâs not a big deal. Donât be angry.â She rubbed her belly and decided to give in. âMr. Greer, I was rash. I wanted to teach you a lesson, but I ended up creating a huge trouble.â
Sighing, she fixed a sincere look on his face. âMr. Greer, please accept my apology!â
Then, she threatened him in all seriousness, âJust say yes. If you refuse my apology, I canât guarantee I wonât repeat what I did.â
He was baffled by her remark.
