Winston smirked and shot a hostile glance at Simon. âA good match? I highly doubt it.â
Millieâs eyebrows shot up in surprise at Winstonâs remark. In response, she intentionally hugged Simonâs arm. âMr. Greer, maybe you should take another look.â
Winston thought, âWhat does she mean by this? Is she challenging me?â
âWhy do you think we arenât compatible?â Millie leaned in closer to Simon, looking more intimate.
Winstonâs frown deepened, and Joanna could clearly sense his displeasure. She gently took his hand in hers..
Winston fixed a sinister gaze on Millie, but she remained unfazed, her expression growing even more indifferent. Her provocation only intensified.
With a composed smile, he replied casually, âAs long as you approve of him, it doesnât matter if others think you two are a good match or not.â
Milled nodded. âThat makes perfect sense.â
She looked up at Simon, her eyes sparkling with excitement. âSimon, I know a fantastic restaurant that serves amazing food. How about we go there for dinner?â
The genuine intimacy in her gaze was unmistakable. It was the same look she had once given Winston. This only made him more distressed.
âSure,â Simon agreed, getting into the car with Millie.
Simon kindly closed the car door for Millie and turned to Winston and Joanna. âGoodbye. Weâll be going
first.
Winston clenched his fists as the car drove away, feeling extremely agitated.
âWinâ¦â Joanna whispered.
âIâve made a reservation at a restaurant. Letâs have dinner together,â he said, his tone tinged with annoyance as he quickly got into the car.
Joannaâs displeasure continued to grow. Wasnât Winstonâs behavior clearly indicating that he still had feelings for Millie?
In the restaurant, Simon and Millie chatted.
âMy dad mentioned that you visited him today,â Simon said.
Millie was browsing entertainment news on Twitter when she noticed that she and Simon were still trending. âYes, I did. I had some free time,â she replied.
Simon chuckled. âYouâve made quite an impression on him.â
Iâm quite impressed by Mr. Harrison too. Both of you have such a gentle and elegant demeanor. I truly admire emotionally stable men,â Millie said, smiling as she set her phone down.

Upon hearing her comment, Simon felt extremely delighted.
âThere shouldnât be any unexpected events today, right? Millie asked, suddenly anxious about dining out. Lately, there had been unexpected incidents whenever she dined with others.
âHmm⦠I donât think so,â Simon said, silently switching his phone to silent mode.
Millie nodded, feeling relieved.
They headed to a newly opened Chirean restaurant in the heart of the city, located on the 39th floor of a building. The restaurant offered a private and exclusive setting.
Upon entering, they were enveloped by a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant was elegant, with only two private rooms, each featuring its own distinctive design.
The waiter opened the door to the private room and began serving the food. Millie was sitting from the door. She noticed two people entering the other private room, one after the other.
âIs it fully booked today?â Simon asked.
âYes, Mr. Harrison.â The waiter nodded, glancing at Millie as he spoke.
Millie noticed the waiter glancing at her. Then, she looked outside again.
across
âMr. Harrison, Ms. Caldwell, all of your food has been served. Please enjoy your meal,â After that, the waiter closed the door.
âLetâs dig in.â Millie smiled.
âBon appétit.â Simon gestured.
The food was delicious, although the prices were a bit steep. Nevertheless, the ambiance was stunning, and the service was exceptional.
After dinner, Millie went to the restroom to touch up her makeup. When she was about to wash her hands, she saw a man leaning against the wall in the mirror.
She was shocked and quickly turned. At that moment, she thought she was hallucinating.
