Chapter 47
Millie giggled as she munched on her chips.
Joanna was arrogant on the surface. She bragged constantly about how she was in possession of the Snowdrop and was friends with M.
So, this was how she behaved behind peopleâs backs. She wanted to guarantee a lifetime of luxury for other people.
Milie wanted to reject her. When she found out it was Joanna, she was interested.
Sheâd disliked Joanna for a long time but didnât have the chance to do anything to her.
It wasnât illegal to play a little prank, right?
She signed into her account and began chatting.
âTen billion dollars.â
âJust ten billion dollars? As long as you can get me the Snowdrop, thatâs nothing in comparison to what I can provide.â
âLetâs meet up to discuss further.â
âAlright!â
âAsk your boss to come talk to me personally.â
âWhy?â
âWeâll meet at Room 999. I wonât entertain you if youâre late.â
Once she finished, Millie signed out.
The man was confused.
Looking at the conversation on the screen, he smiled.
The tame little rabbit who loved Winston had signed out. Slowly, the devil in Millie was making a comeback.
She was going to climb to the top and hurt the people who had wronged her for all these years.
When he thought of that, Marvin gulped and worried for Joanna. She could only pray for herself!
At night, Yerwick began drizzling. Millie got down from her deep purple Bentley and walked toward the entrance of the bar. She ran into Joanna, who hadnât been watching where she was going under her umbrella. She scolded, âAre you blind?â
When she shifted her umbrella away, she became even more enraged upon seeing Millie. She asked, Millie, why are you here?â

Millie narrowed her eyes. She wasnât holding an umbrella and the tain soaked her shoulders. Millie wore a black Tâshirt and jeans. She wasnât dolled up.
âWhy is Ms. Lowell here?â Millie looked up at the bar and said, âIf Iâm not mistaken, you told people you were a pious woman. Why would you come to a place like this?â
Indeed, Joanna didnât come to the bar often because she wanted to save herself for Winston and paint herself as a pious woman.
Joanna huffed and crossed her arms. She said arrogantly, âIâm coming to meet a friend!â
âOh?â Millie tilted her head and led Joanna onto the topic she wanted to chat about. She continued, What friend?â
âIf I say his name, youâll be terrified!â Joanna glared at Millie, pride written across her face.
Millie pursed her lips to indicate that she was listening.
Joanna looked around. Once she confirmed that no one was listening, she leaned over to whisper into
Millieâs ear, âThe one I want to meet is M, from the M Base!â
Millie narrowed her eyes. Oh?
Joanna huffed and pushed her hair back. She looked at Millie and asked, âArenât you stunned to hear
his name?â
Millie raised her eyebrows.
Joanna was still Joanna, a spoiled little princess who was absolutely brainless.
âIâm absolutely stunned.â
Joanna grinned. She was even prouder, âYes, isnât it surprising! Thatâs M, a man that youâll never be able to reach in this lifetime.â
Joanna smirked. She was so grateful for Joannaâs gracious praise for her.
Joanna patted Millieâs shoulder and said, âDonât be too jealous. We were best friends. Iâll introduce you to him if we get the chance.â
âI need to go. Heâs waiting for me!â Joanna coughed gently and gave the bodyguard a glance before going in.
Looking at Joannaâs back, her gaze
darkened.
