Joanna’s mouth twitched slightly. There was a hint of unease was evident in her expression.

“Millie wants to meet M, too?” she wondered.

“Ms. Lowell, you’re really well–connected. You can even meet someone like M. Unlike me, I can only hear stories about him…” Millie remarked, wearing an expression that showed her longing to meet M.

Joanna scoffed. Of course, she could meet M. She was the daughter of the Lowell family. Anything. she wanted was just a snap of the fingers away.

“Although my family is powerful, we can’t compare to the Four Great Families. We’re still nowhere near your level. Since we’re good friends, why not let me broaden my horizons?”

Millie would not stop belittling the Caldwells.

Joanna raised an eyebrow. Being admired by others was her weakness. She loved the feeling of being worshiped, especially when the person before her was Millie.

Millie immediately questioned, “Considering how close you are with M, is it necessary for you to ask him? You’re just bringing a friend along.”

Joanna hesitated momentarily, clutching her phone tightly.

Millie had a point. But she could not let Millie know that she and M were not acquainted at all.

“It’s called respect, something you wouldn’t understand,” Joanna muttered.

Upon hearing her question, Joanna immediately answered with a dissatisfied tone, “Of course, I do!”

She could not believe Millie was doubting her, and that only fueled her determination to introduce Millie to a whole new world today.

“Consider today your lucky day. You’ll get to see the Snowdrop later,” Joanna said arrogantly.

When Millie heard that, she understood that Joanna had agreed to take her to meet M.

“Of course! Keep your mouth shut when we meet M later!” Joanna reminded Millie.

As Joanna put her phone down, she caught sight of Millie from the corner of her eye.

Joanna approached her and pushed away the bottles in her hand. It was as if she was afraid that Millie would open them.

Millie glanced at Joanna, clicked her tongue, and suddenly, a surge of darkness washed over her.

“When is M coming?” asked Millie.

Joanna checked the time. It was already 12:20 pm.

“Soon,” she answered.

With that, she sat down, looking frustrated.

Millie crossed her legs while casually playing with a bottle of wine. She then asked, “Have you really gotten your hands on the Snowdrop?”

“Of course!”

Millie nodded seriously. “You’re impressive! I’m sure Mrs. Greer Senior will be delighted when she receives it,” she calmly replied.
