Chapter 6051: Rules Are Rules
âGhost coins.â Li Qiye repeated.
âYes, as long as you have enough of this currency in the ghost market, you can obtain what you came for and even many things not for sale.â The man said: âAs the saying goes, money can make a ghost push a grindmill.â
âTalking about yourself?â Li Qiye smiled.
âSir, itâs not bad being a ghost, there are fewer problems in this problematic world.â The man chuckled.
Six-style didnât expect this response. Perhaps only a ghost would know all the pros.
âCanât argue with that.â Li Qiye nodded: âNo descendants to worry about, only yourself. Itâs not a bad thing.â
âOh? Would you like to stay here and join us?â The man smiled.
âWho would ever agree?â Six-style shook her head.
âSigh, donât say that.â The man disagreed: âIf you ever become one, you might find how nice it is to not worry about mortal affairs. You might not want to be alive again.â
This statement coming from a ghost was rather creepy, like being tempted to jump off a creep and join them in eternal damnation.
âNo mortal affairs, sure, but ghost matters instead.â Li Qiye chuckled.
âWell...â In response, the man scratched his head: âThatâs also true. We have other worries but at the very least, I prefer being a ghost over a human. I only worry about myself as opposed to worrying about everyone else. Hell, humans worry about their dogs too.â
âMaybe everyone should try being a ghost then, to see if itâs better or otherwise.â Li Qiye was amused.
âNowâs a good time, Sir.â The manâs eyes lit up.
Listeners nearby were creeped out - who would pick being a ghost over a healthy human? Only someone with something wrong in their brains. Therefore, passersby took the long way around, not wanting to be a part of this.
âHow do I become one?â Li Qiye asked.
âThus, even if I want to work for you, I am still bound by the rules. Of course, Iâm sure you can break them given your ability, Sir.â He said.
âSounds like you want me to do it.â Li Qiye said.
âOf course not, we both know that flipping the board during the game is not a good move. You would certainly never do something so uncouth, itâs not your style.â He said.
âIâve grown fond of how highly you painted me so I canât be so tasteless and flip the table. Iâll hold off on that for now.â Li Qiye said.
âThe market is grateful then, Sir.â He smiled.
âA battle occurred here in the past, I want to know the details and the location of a certain thing.â Li Qiye commanded.
âThat, at least in my experience, was unclear.â He said: âIf you want me to answer, you have to pay with ghost coins. Do you have any, Sir?â
He extended his hand afterward.
âI canât take back my words after our exchange earlier. Fine, Iâll return after getting some coins.â Li Qiye said.
âSure thing, itâs nice of you to help me make some money.â He said before offering more dessert to Li Qiye.
Li Qiye drank another bowl and he filled it up again. Six-style, on the other hand, refused the offer.
âOkay, when a the ghost market, do as the ghosts do. Letâs see how fun this custom is.â Li Qiye put down his bowl and said.
âI wish you the best of luck.â He responded.
Li Qiye and Six-style walked several steps away before Li Qiye looked back and asked: âDo you want to stay a ghost or return to being a human?â
He became frozen for a moment before bowing: âSir, I prefer being a ghost right now.â
Li Qiye chuckled and walked away.R/eÌ/Ad lateSt ch/a/pters at novelhall.com Only
