After Dad and Aunt Cali arrived it seemed everything started. Music started playing, and people started eating. I introduced Dad to Zach's Mom, and then went to the table sitting down, for a moment. I just couldn't stop the smile on my face, as I looked at everyone. Zach has really outdone himself, like I really wasn't expecting something like this. He soon plopped down beside me, and I smiled up at him. Wrapping his arm around my waist, I leaned against him, and he kissed the side of my head.
"Having fun?"
"Yeah, I am."
"Good the cake is coming out soon."
"Oh OK."
Sitting there quietly for a moment, I just couldn't take the smile off my face. It feels so unreal since I haven't had a party like this since my mom had died. Turning I pressed my face into the side of Zach.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing just happy."
He squeezed me for a second, before kissing my cheek.
"Good it's my job to see that you are happy."
A giggle fell from my lips, and I lifted up my head to him.
"Well I guess your doing a pretty good job at it."
He smirked, and the music was then turned down. Glancing around, I saw Mrs. Matthews walking over with a cake in her hands. Smiling, everyone else came over as the cake was set in front of me.
"Ok everyone let's sing happy birthday to Melissa."
Glancing around, everyone soon started to sing.
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday Melissa, happy birthday to you
Staring at the vanilla cake in front of me and the candles in awe.
"Make a wish."
Zach whispered in my ear, and I took a deep breath blowing the candles out. Everyone then clapped, and the cake was cut. The first big piece was set in front of me, and I took a bite. A moan fell from my mouth. It was so good, and a chuckle came beside me.
"You still moan from cake huh."
Glancing at Zach, he smirked, and I rolled my eyes.
They put the music back on, and some people even brought me gifts. Like Derek got me this jar of airheads with a ribbon around it.
"Airheads for our little airhead."
"Who's an airhead?"
Giving him a little pout, he laughed walking around. Aunt Cali then came over with a gift, and I smiled taking it.
"Thanks Aunt Cali."
"Don't thank me until you open it."
Staring down, I slowly opened it and my eyes widen.
"A new cellphone... Oh my god thank you."
Putting it on the table, I turned around giving her a hug. Toward when everyone else was leaving Marie then ran up to me, and gave me a present.
"I didn't know what you would like, but I hope you like this."
Looking in the bag, it was all different kinds of lip gloss."
"Marie you didn't have to get me something, but thank you."
Giving her a hug, I then waved as she left. Most people had left, and only Zach, Tiffany, and William was here. I wonder where Mrs.Matthews went, but more important where is Zach. Slowly going into the house, I met Tiffany in the kitchen.
"Have you seen Zach?"
"Think he went upstairs."
"Ok."
Leaving out the kitchen, went down the hallway, and up the steps. Going to his room, I peeped inside to see him staring out the window.
"What you doing Zach?"
Pushing the door closed behind me, I walked up behind him, before wrapping my arms around his waist.
"Just preparing myself."
For what?"
Turning around, I lifted my head up staring at him. He wouldn't meet my eyes though, and I swear his cheeks had a dash of pink on them.
"Zach?"
"Sit on the bed for a moment."
Letting my arms fall, I cocked my head to the side confused. He gave me a reasurring smile, and I turned walking to the bed. Sitting down, I watched him as he walked to the his desk. Turning he was walking with a little present in his hands.
Staring at him shocked, he gave me smirk sitting beside me before pushing the present in my hands.
"What you thought I wouldn't get you something?"
"Well you gave me the party, so I didn't think you would because that was enough."
Staring down at the present, he wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Well I did, so open it."
Slowly tearing the wrapping paper off. There in my hands was a little white box, and I glanced at Zach. He gave me a little nod, and I opened it. Staring in awe for a moment, I then glanced back at him, and then at the present. It was a little clear aqua musical piano, and I slowly lifted it out of the box. Lifting the piano's top, a soft melody started to play. Smiling down as I slid my fingers over it.
"So do you like it?"
"It's beautiful Zach, thank you."
"No problem."
Closing the top, I set it back in the box, before turning facing Zach.
"Zach this must have cost you a pretty penny."
"Not really."
"Zach..."
"Listening Melissa, money is not a matter to me OK."
"But..."
"No buts."
Slowly setting the box down, I turned my body to him. Staring into his blue, I bit my lower lip, before leaning over pressing a kiss to his lips. It was soft, warm, and sweet. His tongue brushed over my lips, and they slowly parted for him. The little flicks of his tongue against mine caused little moans to fall only for them to get swallowed up. Running a hand through his hair, I was laid back, and he turned his head deepening the kiss.
Slowly after breaking the kiss, he lifted his head up staring at me, and I gave him a little smile. Moving my  hands, I cupped his cheek breaking eye contact for a moment.
"What's wrong?"
Meeting his eyes once again, I gave his shoulder a little push so I could sit up. Facing each other now, I took a deep breath, before taking his hand.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what?"
"You love me, right?"
His eyes widen for a moment, before he looked away.
"Do you have to ask?"
"I know I don't, because I can feel it through everything you do, but I want you to say it."
Staring at him, he looked away for a moment, and I could see the dust of blush forming on his cheeks, before he ran a hand through his hair. Letting out a sigh, he met my eyes for a moment, before moving a hand, and ran it through my hair, before cupping my cheek.
"I won't say this again so listen closely."
He leaned closer so our foreheads were pressed against each other, and I stared in aw at how serious his eyes were.
"Ever since I've met you, I find myself changing in ways I didn't think I would. You are slowly becoming the best this that has ever happen to me. You know I'm not too big into talking about feeling and crap, but... I really am in love with you."
Staring at him, a big grin formed on my face, and he slowly let a little groan falling back.
"Man your making me soft, Melissa."
He pressed his hands on his face, and I giggled moving on top of him, and he pulled his hands away. He stared at me shocked, and I could see the blush had deepened on his cheeks, and I leaned down kissing him hard.
"It's ok Zach, as long as you only show me your soft side."
He chuckled, before wrapping his arms around my waist, and pulled me into another kiss.
"So how did you like your birthday party?"
"It was wonderful, and all thanks to you."
He smirked, before there was a knock on the door, and I pulled away from him.
"Melissa your dad is here to get you."
"Ok."
Slowly rolling off the bed, standing up I grabbed my presents. Slowly following me to the door, I stopped turning around, and stared at him. Holding my stuff tightly in one arms, before I grabbed a hand full of his shirt and pulled him down. He stared at me shocked, and I smirked pressing my lips to him softly.
"I love you too Zachary Matthews."
He narrowed his eyes at me saying his whole name, but I just giggled running out the door. Yes this is has been the best birthday party ever.
