"You did, but it seems like itâs already too late. This is a huge mess we are in." Varant muttered, frowning. "The distrust of people in us will be at an all time high now. Thatâs not good."
He looked towards Riali before he started leaving.
"Riali, release a statement from our side. Claim that the videos used in the footage were fake," Varant told Riali.
"You mean I should lie?" Riali asked, frowning.
"Itâs for the greater good. We need to lie a little, or the problem would become bigger. We canât let Variant Uprising become the heroes."
"We canât become the villains. Support of the public is crucial. Iâll tell the president to keep the same statement and call these things fake," Varant answered, shaking his head lightly.
