11:39 “Do you know about this lycan?” Alpha James looked like he was aging for a few years overnight. He looked haggard and in trouble.

How could he not when his only son ran away from the trial and tarnished their name. He didn’t have dignity and even the pack member questioned his action. Even if they managed to make him an alpha again, it would be so hard for Aiden to regain his people’s respect.

But, aside from that, there was this hard pressing issue that alpha James had to handle first and put aside his thought about his son.

“I have laid out all the information I had about this lycan and that was all that I know.” Hunter looked around this study room. Aiden’s scent still reeked this place because he used to stay in this room for hours.

Alpha James sighed. The pressure from the other alphas was very harsh, because they felt Aiden had something to do with this.

Thankfully, Hunter had brought up the topic before, so no one accused him of anything, or maybe he simply used someone to stir the opinion to put the blame on Aiden… no one knew what kind of move this alpha lycan made.

Upon closer look, you would be able to notice that his personality had always changed depending on whom he was with and of course, Lilac would always get the best version of him.

“We need to find out where they are coming from,” alpha James stated to no one in particular, he stared at Hunter. “Do you have any idea how to find them?”

Hunter raised his brows, because he thought the question was rather ridiculous. “If I knew how to find them, I would have done that and marched to their pack.”

“Do you think they are rogue?” The beast without territory and even though they were in a group, they would move from one area to the other, since they didn’t have their own territory.

“I don’t know.” Hunter didn’t even try to think about this. He seemed not interested to the topic, but the Emergency calls only question kept coming from alpha James, which made him noticed something. “Are you interrogating me?”

11:39 Alpha James was pretty flustered when he was being called out, but he regained his composure pretty fast. “I only thought because you are the lycan too, you know a thing or two that could help with the investigation.”

Hunter said nothing, but the look on his eyes alone could make alpha James felt really uncomfortable.

He didn’t mean to offend this alpha. No, he couldn’t afford to offend this alpha lycan. He already had a handful of trouble, not to mention his mate had been crying nonstop because of the missing of their son and how wild the accusation was.

Generally, as werewolf, they didn’t like the lycan, but after what happened and how Lilac turned her back and went with the lycan pack, Jasmine had been hating them with passion. She felt like her own daughter had been stolen.

“I am sorry if I offended you, you can leave,” alpha James said, deeply apologetic. He tossed away his dignity and gave his sincere apology to Hunter.

“D- do you want a tea?” Ruby stuttered a bit, she was holding a tray with a tea set.

Hunter didn’t answer her, instead he went out without saying anything. He looked callous and couldn’t give a shit to his surroundings, but what fascinated Ruby was how he treated Lilac.

She wondered how it felt to be treated that way.

“Alpha, I heard you skipped your breakfast. I came here to bring you tea and snack.” Ruby knew that alpha James only had tea and snack for his breakfast and that was why she brought exactly that.

“Bring them back, I don’t need it.” Alpha James was not in the mood to eat anything. He was not even able to drink a drop of water, because of the anxiety he felt.

However, instead of leaving like what alpha James told her to do, Ruby entered the room and went straight to alpha James’s table. She put the tray down..

“You need to eat something, it’s not good to force yourself. Things will not get better if you fell sick.”

Ruby poured the warm liquid of tea and handed the cup to alpha James. “Aiden is not here and you are the only pillar for this pack. You need to treasure your health. This will help you to calm down and think clearer.”

Alpha James stared at the cup and then thanked her for her concern.

“Luna Jasmine is still inside her bedroom. I have delivered her breakfast, but…” Ruby was hesitated for a while, but alpha James knew what she had transpired. He knew his mate like the back of his hand, thus he was well aware of what kind of tantrum she must be throwing right at this moment. “I will send another meal to her once she has calmed down.”

“Why do you call Jasmine as luna when you are the luna of the pack?” James sipped his tea. Ruby was right, it helped him to calm down and feel good.

“Because I respect her so much, just like how I respect you, alpha James. You are a good alpha,” Ruby said sheepishly.
