Chapter 2
Belong to the Lycan Alpha
Chapter 2
Lilac couldnât sit still anymore, nor could she enjoy the party when Aiden kept avoiding her like a plague. He would come up with the most ridiculous excuses just to avoid being with her alone while ignoring all her questions about why he was distancing himself from her.
There was no hug, k*ss, or even a little bit of explanation from him ever since he returned to this pack about his behavior. Lilac couldnât even congratulate him properly and tell him how happy she was to see him return.
She couldnât demand his attention, because they were surrounded by so many people here in the main yard, while the woman, who came with Aiden this morning was staying in his bedroom. What was the meaning of that? Luna Jasmine and Alpha James didnât tell her anything and only said; we will talk about it after the party
Probably, this was her paranoid self that was speaking, but she constantly felt the rest of the warriors, who had gone to the war with Aiden, looking at her with pity.
And after long hours of agonising waiting, when Lilac almost turned into a taut ball of emotions, they finally sat down together in the Alphaâs study room.
Lilac sat beside Luna Jasmine. She was holding her hand tightly with unshed tears filling her eyes.
Why was she crying?
âWhat is happening here? What do you know that I donât know about? Who is that woman?â All Lilacâs questions would meet with silence.
âLetâs wait for Aiden to come, he will explain everything. Alpha James finally said. Since Lilac couldnât go against the Alpha, she stopped asking questions.
They waited for another fifteen minutes in silence, until Aiden stepped into the study room with her, the woman from this morning. They walked together and the sight of it left Lilac uncomfortable. She felt this bad omen about what was going to happen, but she was still in denial.
There was no way Aiden would do such a thing to her. They were destined mates, they were destined to be together. There must be a misunderstanding somewhere here.
And there, he sat down, next to that woman, still trying to avoid looking her in the eyes. How could this man charge toward the enemy without fear, but couldnât even find the courage to look at her?
âMother, father,â Aiden spoke after he cleared his throat. He looked so nervous, as he clasped his hands together. His habit. The woman I mentioned in my letter, Ruby.â He glanced at the woman who was sitting by his side and cleared his throat again. âI will take her as my chosen mate.â
There was pot a single acknowledgement whatsoever of Lilac, who was sitting there, dumbfounded with Luria Jasmine still holding her hands, as if trying to keep her together from what she was going to hear.
âWhat about me?â Lilac asked. âWhat am I to you now? Why are you doing this to me? Who is that girl?â Lilac couldnât help it, as she asked all the questions that had been swarming her mind. Her b*dy was shaking when the worst possibility really came true before her eyes.
Aiden took a deep breath before he lifted his head and then looked Lilac in the eyes for the first time ever since he returned. However, she could see nothing, but a man that was drowning in self guilt and shame, trying to look for justification of his own actions.

âWhat is actually happening here?â Lilac asked again, but the echo of her voice in this room sounded so empty and hopeless.
Aidenâs grip on his other hand tightened, as he tried to find the courage to tell her, but actually, the girl named Ruby spoke first before he could explain.
âYou must be Lilac,â Ruby said. âI am sorry that things ended up like this for you, we didnât mean it to happen, but right now, Aiden has to step forward to take the responsibility.â
you n
âWhat kind of responsibility do Lilac could feel Luna Jasmineâs hand tighten, as she started to so b softly, that was when she knew her worst nightmare had come true.
Aiden pressed his l*ps into a thin line, as he avoided her eyes again, thus it was the girl, who spoke for him.
âI am pregnant with the Alphaâs first child.â Ruby said. âI am sorry, you have to know about this in this way.â She apologized to her, but she didnât sound sorry at all.
Out of instinct, Lilac directed her eyes at her stomach. She was not showing yet, so probably she was still in the early stages of her pregnancy. It meant he had been screwing her, while writing those sweet love letters to Lilac, telling her how much he loved her and how he couldnât wait for the day of their reunion.
Lilac couldnât take it anymore. She didnât want to have a menta l breakdown in front of these people.
They were so despicable and more soâ¦
âHow long have you known about this?â This time, Lilac asked Alpha James and Luna Jasmine, who was crying right now.
âTwo months,â Alpha James replied.
So, they had been hiding this from her for two months now, while pretending like nothing happened?
Not able to take it any longer, Lilac swatted Luna Jasmineâs hands and then stood up. She said nothing when she rushed toward the door but heard Aiden calling her name, as he chased after her.
âLilac!â Aidan caught up with her in the hallway and turned her b*dy around to face him. âDonât be like this, we can talk about this.â
âWhat else is there to talk about?!â She really wanted to slap him so hard. âYou have impregnated another
woman!â
âThatâs a mistake! You were not around and I was lonely!â Aiden raised his voice as well.
On the other hand, Lilac was in disbelief upon what she had heard. This was the best excuse he could give her? âDo you expect me to go to the frontlines to warm your bed?â
