Chapter 3
Belong to the Lycan Alpha
Chapter 3
Aiden lowered his head when he heard that and the current sight of him hurt Lilac so much. She couldnât believe this was the man she had been waiting for all this time, her mate, her soulmate.
someone that she was supposed to spend the rest of her life with.
âThe battle has been so intense. You will not be able to understand it since you were not there. Aidenâs jaw hardened when he told Lilac what he had to endure during the war. âI was lonely and you were not there.â
âSo, the first thing that crossed your mind was to find another woman to f u c k?!â Lilac raised her voice, she was so hurt by his lame excuses. He essentially told her that he got that woman pregnant just because he couldnât stand being alone and keep his member inside his pants.
âLilac!â Aiden raised his voice too, but he didnât have any valid point to retort her statement. âYou donât understand how I feell You were not the one who fought those lycans! You donât know how it feels to be a step closer to your own death!â
A tear escaped Lilacâs eyes when she heard that. He didnât even apologize for what he had done. He was trying to justify his actions and wanted Lilac to see it from his point of view, so she could understand him.
But, what about her?!
âI have been waiting for you, trying to learn how to be a perfect luna for you when you return. I wanted to make you proud of me.â Lilac wiped her tears from her checks roughly. âI was lonely too. I wanted you by my side. Every day and night. I prayed for your safe return, so we can be together again. Not even once did it cross my mind I can find another man to fill the emptiness of your absenceâ
Aiden gritted his teeth. The sight of Lilac right now as she cried bitterly filled him with so much pain.
The mate bond-still worked between them. He could feel the pain that Lilac had to bear, he could feel it in his blood; how he had hurt his other half so much. Her voice trembled with every syllable, because she was having a hard time holding back her emotions.
âItâs different, Lilac.â Aiden shook his head. âYou donât understand. Our situations are different.â
Still. He still didnât apologize to her.
Lilac gritted her teeth, as she stared at Aiden in disbelief. âYou didnât even apologize for what you have done, Aiden, and here I am, thinking, at the very least, you feel a little bit sorry for me.â
Aiden looked surprised, he didnât think about that. He was so busy defending himself and feeling high-
strung, since he knew he was in the wrong and it was his basic instinct to make Lilac understand him instead.
âLilac, I he stuttered slightly. âI am sorry.â
The word founded so cheap to Lilac when he finally said that. âYou donât feel sorry, Aiden, you donât regret it. Your words sound empty.â
Lilac, Aiden took a step closer and grabbed her hands tightly. âLilac, we can find a way out of this.. we can still be together.â
Lilac narrowed her eyes. She had this gut feeling that told her, she wouldnât like whatever came from Audenâs mouth right now.

Chapter 3
âWhat do
you
mean?â
Aiden had this complicated look on his face when he spoke again. âWe can still be togetherâ¦â he only repeated what he said and that was enough for Lilac.
She swatted his hands away and glared at him. âIf you think I will go down that path, you canât be any more wrong.â she said sternly through her gritted teeth.
And before Aiden could say something else, Lilac turned around and ran away from him. She held back from crying out loud, as the loud music could be heard in the distance, where people still celebrated the return of the warriors from the battlefield.
But right now, Lilac was grieving the death of the bond she shared with her mate.
She wanted to reject Aiden, but her heart couldnât take the rejection just yet. She had never been in so much pain like right now.
And for the rest of the week, Lilac stayed inside her bedroom, she barely came out and every time Aident came to see her, she would always have her door locked.
It was only Luna Jasmine, Alpha James and a few of her closer friends, who knew about what happened, while the rest of the people wondered about the woman, who always clung to Aiden.
âLilac, donât be sad anymoreâ¦â Aria spoke to her softly. She was Lilacâs close friend, they had known each other since they were little and were still in the orphanage. âLetâs go out, you will feel better if you participate in the festivities.â Aria nudged her b*dy, trying to act cheerful, even though she felt so bad for Lilac.
How could oneâs mate do something so horr e n d o u s like what Aiden did to her?
âI donât want to feel better, Aria. I want to disappear.â Tears escaped her beautiful eyes again, her long hair was disheveled, as she stopped taking care of herself for days now. She looked like she was mourning Aiden, even though the man safely returned to their pack.
âDonât be like that, Lilac. Letâs go out to walk for a bit, this evening there will be a party to welcome the people from the lycan pack.â
Yes. The lycan pack would be here for at least a week, as their leader would sign a peace treaty with the other five alphas.
The five alphas had come yesterday and now they only needed to wait for the Lycan Alpha and his people
to come.
Right at that time, Luna Jasmine knocked on the door and Aria opened it.
âLilac. I want to show you the dress that you will wear for the party tonight. I think you will feel better if you attend the party.â
