“Ah!” Ruby screamed in pain at some point after she cried so hard when she heard how luna Jasmine humiliated her and insulted her harshly in front of the maids.

This sharp pain lasted for a few seconds, but it was enough to make luna Jasmine stopped with her hurtful words.

From the look of it, luna Jasmine didn’t mean it when she wished ill upon the baby, it was her way to vent out her frustration, but the moment Ruby cried in pain, she hysterically called for the healer.

“Where is the healer?! Why she is not here yet?!” she shouted at the people around. her. “Stop crying!

If she was not really in so much pain, Ruby wanted to laugh at luna’s jasmine’s face. She was very hilarious to think that she could stop the pain by telling her to stop crying when she and her son were the cause of her misery.

“Why the healer is not here yet?!” luna Jasmine didn’t dare to approach Ruby, probably in her subconsciousness, she realized that she was the caused of her pain and didn’t dare to come closer, just in case, she triggered Ruby even more.

“You wish the baby to die and maybe you will get what you want…” Ruby said. through her tears and pain and she felt this weird satisfaction to see the fear in luna Jasmine’s eyes.

“Not directly.” Hunter shook his head. “The woman, who took you out of the pack, placed you in the orphanage in the Golden Claw pack.”

“But, that’s the reason,” Hunter said blatantly. “That’s the reason why I look for you, because I promised to make you my woman.”

“Hunter, I will believe you more if you told me that you grew a second head rather than this.” Lilac shook her head.

“That would be a lie then.” The answer that Hunter gave to her was very casual. “Don’t you know the term; love like a lycan.”

Lilac didn’t say anything, thus Hunter proceeded to explain that.

“We don’t have mate, neither we shared mate bond, but we love deeply. No shifter will love deeper than my kind. That’s why, we only have one mate for lifetime.”

“What irony, because you said it yourself that my father had cheated on my mother and I am the result of their adultery.” Lilac scoffed. She started to doubt Hunter’s words again.

“Do you want to see him?”

“Take your time.” Hunter patted her head and she cried, the emotions that she kept holding back, flowing out without her being able to control it.

“Do you want to go somewhere?” Hunter remembered that Lilac didn’t want him to touch her casually, so he pressed down his urge to hug her.

“I want you to tell me why are you so adamant to make me your woman. Your reason didn’t make sense at all.” Lilac wiped her tears.
