**I might do more of Hayden's POV in this story but haven't decided yet. Any thoughts?**
We scheduled an appointment with the OBGYN for Thursday. I was able to have someone cover my shift that day so I could go with Rose. Now the only thing we needed to do was tell Sean... But that could wait until after the appointment at least.
"I still have to tell my parents. I mean it's not like they're going to see the medical bill... But,"
"We'll start telling people after we get the confirmation." I squeezed her shoulder, "and when you're ready of course."
She shot me a grateful look as we remained in the waiting room for her name to be called.
"Do you want me to go with you or just wait out here? I didn't know what would be better."
She shrugged. "I hadn't thought about that honestly. I guess just come with me in case I go into shock and don't hear a word that comes out of the doctor's mouth."
"Deal."
"Rosemary?" A nurse popped her head out from the door.
"Here we go." Rose stood up slowly and waited for me to follow behind her.
"Let me take your height and weight real quick and then I'll let you step into this room."
I stood to the side and waited patiently for her to take Rose's height. The three of us said nothing as the process was done and we were sent into the waiting room.
"What colors did you decide on for your wedding? I heard you mentioned something about it the other day."
"Green and gold."
"Those will be pretty."
We stopped when a knock came on the door and a woman poked her head inside. "Hello, are you Rosemary?"
"Yes ma'am."
"I'm Doctor Tayler. Is the temperature okay in here to you? I know earlier it was a bit too cold."
"It's fine." Rose spoke softly but relaxed slightly with the Doctor's tone.
"Good. If I could just have you lie down on the table here." Doctor Tayler smiled at me with her blue eyes, "are you a friend of Rose's?"
"Yes. I'm her friend Dasha."
"Well it's always nice to have support." She went over to put gloves on while I took a seat on a bench that was a few feet from the counter. "We'll do a blood test since I was told you already took a urine test?"
"Yes ma'am. I just want to be like... one hundred percent sure." Rose breathed and tried to keep from shaking when she saw the needle.
"Not a problem. So tell me, what are you studying in college?"
Rose began to talk about her potential career in California while I stood back up and gripped her hand. She was doing well overall and I knew that it wasn't really the blood test that was bothering her, but the fact that she may be pregnant.
"We won't have the results for at least two if not three days. So don't fret too much in the meantime alright? We'll let you know as soon as we find the results. Then when we confirm the testing it will determine what you need to begin taking afterwards and just all of that."
Rose nodded briefly, she seemed even more relieved knowing that she wouldn't find out everything right away. This also made me feel better, it gave us a little more time to think about how to tell Sean if it's true.
"Okay, we'll give you a call in a few days and go from there." Doctor Tayler patted Rose's shoulder gently.
"Thank you." She stood up slowly and followed me out to pay before leaving.
"I mean... If you didn't want to tell Sean right away you could wait a few weeks. I doubt you'll be showing anytime soon." I tried reassuring her.
She shook her head. "I can't keep him in the dark like that. Even if it ends bad."
"Rose." I stopped her before she got in my car. "What happened between you two?"
"I don't know Dash." She ran her fingers through her hair. "I've just been busy with school and so has he. There's just days where he's not paying attention and I feel like maybe... Maybe he doesn't love me anymore. We haven't... I mean if I'm pregnant that's a surprise because it's been a few weeks since we've done anything let alone touched."
"He hasn't said anything?"
"No. He just seems bothered about something and hasn't mentioned anything. Dash," her voice broke. "I can't... If he doesn't love me anymore, I can't handle that. Not right now."
I pulled her to me while sobs racked her body. This was just too much for her but honestly I didn't know what to do to help my friend. That's what made this one million times worse.
"Rose, you have me. And Tyson and Hayden. We'll always be here for you okay? And your family I know will help you through this, even if Sean isn't... But let's not worry about that until we get to the bottom of everything else. Just take it one day at a time okay?"
She didn't look at me, I could tell from her gaze she was far off thinking whatever. Loosening my grip, I let her go and headed towards my side of the car to drive us home. Things were already going to be stressful, but now everything had been escalated tremendously with hormones controlling the root of it.
We returned a few minutes later as I grabbed my books from the backseat that I needed. Having a test on Fridays was always a drag. Even Hayden knew not to schedule on Fridays if he could prevent it.
My phone went off before I could do anything else. I saw mom flash across the screen and wondered what she could possibly need.
"Hello?"
"Hey sweetie, my parents are coming in tomorrow so I was thinking Sunday you could introduce them to Hayden?"
"That's fine mom, whatever you want." I reassured her and watched as Rosemary went to her bedroom.
"Okay, I just wanted to double check with you real quick."
"Yeah it won't be a problem, I'm going to get some studying now okay?"
"Alright honey." She hung up while I just sighed. Why was it such a big deal all of a sudden for Hayden to meet them? I mean I knew it was a good idea for him to meet them anyways but for crying out loud I was an adult.
'Admit it Dasha you just don't want any drama to erupt if they meet him.' My mind urged me as I flipped open my textbook to the chapter I needed to read for class.
I pinched the bridge of my nose and just took a deep breath. If this is what being an adult was all about I wanted no part of it. With the wedding, graduation, Rose's potential baby and just everything else on top of that there was no way I was ready for anything else to come my way.
**Okay so we pretty much see that she is pregnant but I'll wait until the next chapter to reveal it for Sean. Any ideas on how she should? Also is Dasha overreacting too much to everything or is she just really stressed out from everything that she's been thrown into?
PS I just got back to school and classes start tomorrow so not sure how much I'll update but I'll do my best for you! Thanks for the support guys you are all incredible and am giving me amazing opportunities on wattpad in the near future. I'll look at the baby names and decide on what i'm using here in the next few chapters!**
