"No you didn't."
"Yes I did."
"No you didn't."
"Yes I did."
"You are an idiot."
"Guess I am."
"And I am serious."
"Me too."
"Ughhh...you did lose your mind while talking to him, didn't you?"
"Maybe."
"What kind of girl let's their fiance fall in love with any other girl?!"
"My kind of girl does."
"Are you regretting it?"
"Maybe."
"Can you take back the deal?"
"Hell no."
"Were you out of your mind when you said that?"
"Pretty much. My head was burning hot so it counts."
"Do you know how many girls are going to jump on him like some hyenas now that he is not committed."
"They didn't until now."
"That is because he made it clear that he was committed. Guess not anymore."
"Did I make a mistake?"
"Pretty much...And what about Alec?"
I fell silent for while before I said, "I don't know, haven't really seen him since then."
"Can I intervene girls?" Brian asked a little hesitant. He was sitting there with us on my bed. Though he was sitting with us I could see he felt a little out of conversation. You cannot blame him. From the moment I have told them about my 'not so pleasant meeting' with Xavier. Evie had been freaking out and questioning me like crazy. Though it is fun to have her around and no matter how much I love her. But damn, this girl can make you question your whole existence and this was nothing but a deal.
"No Brian! Don't you see what our roasted fish as her brain friend did today!" Evie sounded frustrated. Brian looked at Evie, terrified from her. Without saying a word he nodded his head,
"Yeah I heard. Very terrible." He ranted.
I looked at him shocked. Et tu Brian? I thought you were gonna pick sides with me.
He looked at me. As soon as his eyes locked with mine I gave him the hardest glare known in the entire history of human kind. He gulped laughing awkwardly,
"Roasted fish as a brain isn't that bad, right Evie?" He looked at Evie expectantly.
"It is!" We both said in unison sitting next to each other as Brian sat pale in front of us.
"Why do you always have to say everything together?" He whined but Evie ignored him by turning towards me a little sideways so that she could face me,
"Just when we all came to know about the girl Xavier was so committed to, you go and burst our balloon of happiness by allowing him to date anyone?" She fell silent for a while before breaking out into a huge grin, "Wait does that mean even I can date him?" she asked with a mischievous smile on her face which spoke so much volume.
"No!" Brian and me yelled simultaneously. Though our reasons were completely different.
She laughed while elbowing both of us, "I am just kidding. Though not about those hyenas already waiting to claw out Xavier's clothes." She looked at me a little disappointed yet again.
What? Why was she giving me the same look from the very beginning! What was I suppose to do? The guy tells me he doesn't love me. He wants to fall in love with a girl of his choice. What was I suppose to do? Cling onto him like a monkey? No, thank you.
"It's like you jumped into the sea full of sharks on you own accord."
I knew what she meant. I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Getting Xavier to love me was rather difficult already and now it was almost an impossible task.
But somewhere along the line I listened to my heart while making the deal. There was no point in forcing love which wasn't even there. But this way I actually feel Xavier will know me. Will love me. And accept me for who I am.
"Can I s-say something?" I heard Brian's meek voice again.
Evie looked at him in a questioning way. Even though Brian was a number one prankster he couldn't help but be afraid of two petite girls.
"Rather than dwelling on the past I think it is best that we think what is to be done to win the deal." He continued regaining strength in his voice as Evie and me nodded at him in affirmative.
"So what do we do?" I laid back down on my bed tired from all the things that happened.
"Rather what do you do?"
I lifted my head up to look at Brian and Evie both standing up. Should I mention ready to leave? Great, they are ditching me.
"Get your asses back here." I commanded them. They just stuck their tongue at me.
I don't usually cuss. But being friends with these two assholes has really affected my vocabulary. In a bad way. I took hold of a pillow beside me and threw it at them. It went and smacked Brian right in the face just as his tongue was stuck out.
I couldn't help but chuckle at his face as the pillow slid down and fell on the ground beside his feet while he still stood there paralyzed with his tongue still out and his eyes wide.
I continued laughing now laying back down and holding down my stomach. I recovered from my contagious laugh and sat up straight still giggling in between. I looked at Brian to find him smirking at me. Before I could even think what was happening he yelled,
"Take that!" My eyes went wide as I saw Brian bringing his hand back and throwing the pillow directly at me. I saw the pillow flying and Rolling towards me.
Before I could even do something as simple as move my hands. It was already too late. The pillow went and collided straight with the wall just behind my bed. It dropped down beside me as I looked at it before turning my gaze towards Brian.
"For a prankster you really do suck at aiming." I commented on his throwing skills.
"Come on!" He threw a tantrum linking his arms around Evie's shoulders and hiding his face behind her.
Evie giggled as she patted him awkwardly. 'What am I suppose to do?' She mouthed at me. I shrugged my shoulders leaving it upto her to do whatever she wanted to do with this guy right over here.
"I think that is enough." Evie said as she tried to push Brian away gently.
But he didn't let her go. If anything he clenched his arms tight around her, "No! You both are too mean to me. I don't have any friends left with me. The only people I can be friends with are pandas!"
"Pandas are a great option. Now just let me go. You are suffocating me." I could hear the difficulty in her voice. Brian could too because he loosened his clench yet still held onto her like a baby. Wasn't he enjoying it too much? I sat there looking at them with a smile on my face. I adore them so much together! My ship is sailing....woohoo.
"Ummm. You smell great." I heard Brian mutter.
My eyes snapped to Evie's to find her making a face of disgust. No shocker here, I kind of expected that. Brian you idiot that is not how you make a move on a girl.
Not even seconds later I saw Brian jump up squealing in a high pitched voice. He ran away from Evie as far as possible. Coming and sitting next to me he hid behind me.
"Why do you always have to be so violent?!" He yelled still putting up the high pitched voice.
"What did I even I do?" She asked him innocently.
"No. No. No." He sat straight beside me shaking his head disapprovingly, "You don't get to act innocent after pinching me with those large claws of yours. Woman, you can commit a murder with them."
"But you still love me." She said innocently.
Brian went silent before I heard him whisper so that only I could hear it, "That I do."
