Sean was stunned. Alyssaâs actions always seemed to catch him by surprise.
âBut both Josh and his wife, Clarissa, are here tonight. Wonât Brie cause a scene? Itâs Madam Lylaâs birthday after all. Wouldnât it be better to end the night on a positive note?â Sean asked, concerned.
not going to let her past the front door and let her become a pain in everyoneâs ass.â
âThatâs why Iâm n âDo you mean?â
Alyssa narrowed her eyes, a dangerous glint in them. âDonât you worry. Iâll be sure sheâs taken care o before the celebration officially starts.â
of Meanwhile, Tatiana had gone to the restroom. After she finished powdering her nose, she hurried back outside.
âYou stupid beasts! What are you stopping me for? Canât you see I have an invitation?â
The familiar yet irritating voice made Tatiana stop in her tracks. Her heart sank briefly as she turned to look at its source.
Tatiana spotted two security guards holding Brie back not far away while she yelled at the top of her lungs, flinging the invitation around in her hand like she was some mad hag.
Brie had really gone all out tonight. Her makeup was exceptionally striking, and she was wearing an extremely revealing dress. One look at her, and anyone would think that she was attending a wedding.
while others might think she was some harlot.
But what was Brie doing here?
She even had an invite! Had Josh gotten her in?
Those thoughts ran through Tatianaâs mind as her heart pounded in her chest.
âGet out of my way! Do you have any idea who youâre messing with? If you donât let me in right now, Iâll make your life hell!â
Brie struggled with all her might against the guardsâ grips, but they were so strong that it felt like her bones might snap.
âWhatâs going on here?â Just then, Sean walked over, his expression flat.
âMr. Lynch, this woman is trying to sneak into the premises with a fake invitation. We managed to stop her in time, but she wonât leave, no matter how hard we try,â one of the guards reported.
Sean raised an eyebrow. âOh?â
âIt⦠Itâs you! The one in the Porsche!â Brie recognized Sean as the man who had come to Tatianaâs defense the other night.
She v yelled at him, âSo you work in this hotel, huh? Are you the manager here? Ah, it doesnât matter. Just tell these guards to keep their filthy hands off of me and let me inside!â
But Sean behaved as if they had never met, only saying coldly, âIf your invitation is fake, then please leave right away.â
âFake? What bullshit are you talking about? I got my invite directly from one of your hotelâs staff! How could it be fake?â Brie roared, tossing the invitation right in Seanâs face.
âOpen those good-for-nothing eyes of yours and see for yourself!â
The card hit Seanâs face, leaving a thin papercut.
He remained unperturbed, only raising a hand to touch the wound.
*Sean!â Tatiana finally ran over to his side, unable to bear seeing the man she loved get hurt.
âOh, youâre here too, you little bitch? Brie was surprised, but it was quickly replaced by disdain.
âWhat a fine pair you two make.â
As Brie spoke, she eyed the dress Tatiana was wearing. Wasnât that dress part of a spring collection due next year that had been revealed during Bastian Fashion Week?
