Eventually, she looked up incredulously.
âYou little bastard, how dare you hit me? Do you still want to run Watson Group?â
Albert grabbed her collar roughly, his face dark.
Sheâd never seen him so furious.
Coldly, he stated, âI warned you not to harm her!
But you wouldnât listen! Wondering if Iâd dare hit you? Hereâs your answer! If it werenât for my mom, youâd be done for.
Sick of your constant trouble! You old hag, Iâve put up with you Long enough!â
Paulina seethed but no words escaped her Lips.
Albert shoved her aside.
He warned, âYou touch her again, and Waston Groupâs history! Iâll do it, swear to God! Donât test me!â

Jessie caught every word.
She realized he loved her but what good was it?
He married someone else and had his own child.
Tears streamed down Jessieâs face, the heartache outweighing the visible pain.
Albert approached her slowly.
He wanted to touch her wound but hesitated.
After a while, he simply whispered, âJessie!â
Jessie gazed at Albert, with blood in her mouth, but she swallowed the ache and looked at him in the eyes.
She said with a light tone, âYou saw it, right? You said youâd look out for me but itâs been nothing but trouble.
Could you and your family stay away from me, Mr.
Watson? Please, Iâm begging you!â
Albertâs heart hurt hearing Jessieâs words.
After a pause, he said gently, âLet me get you to the hospital.
â
Jessie declined but Albert insisted because her face was swollen.
He felt he couldnât leave Jessie in that state, even if they werenât together anymore.
So he took her away forcefully.
Since Jessie resisted, Albert had to carry her to the car.
This drew the attention from the hotel staff.
Jessie tried to escape once she was put in the car but Albert had locked the doors.
He held her hand, voice hoarse as he said, âPlease, stop fighting with me.
â
Jessieâs eyes welled up with tears.
She retorted, âWhy do you care about my injury? You have a wife that is pregnant with your child.
Is it right to talk to me like this, to take me to the hospital? Donât you think I have suffered enough being attacked by your wife and her aunt? Or maybe my reputation isnât tarnished enough for you?â
âJessie, please!â Albert groaned.
