Melissa looked up at him, her chest tightening.
Gently, he pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her.
Marcus ki*sed her hair softly and whispered.
âIâm here for you, and I want you to always remember that.
â
Almost as if in a trance, Melissa said, âSomehow, I donât know, but⦠It feels so surrealâ¦â
A crease appeared between Marcusâ brows.
He suddenly picked her up, carrying her to their bedroom and pushing her down on the bed.
Melissa didnât resist.
Maybe they could both use an outlet, and this was the simplest way to get release.
She held him tight, answering his hot ki*ses.
Her teeth sank on his shoulder when he got too rough.
Marcus lowered his head, his forehead lined in sweat as he panted.
His low and smooth voice echoed in her ears.
âHow about now? Does it still feel surreal?â
After their s@x, both of them were sweating buckets.
Marcus, with his arm snug around Melissaâs waist, pulled the thin blanket over her.
Their breathing slowly eased.
Whispering behind her, Marcus asked, âAre you feeling any better now?â
Melissa nestled her face into a white pillow, giving it a gentle rub.
Noticing her silence, Marcus pressed on, âAre you perhaps feeling shy now?â
âWhy should I be? This is comfy,â Melissa retorted.
Marcus nodded, satisfied with her honesty.
They cuddled in silence for a bit before Melissa turned around.
âIâm famished.
â
He asked, cool as a cucumber, âAre you still hungry?â
Their gazes locked.
After a lingering moment, Melissa broke away first.
âLetâs hit the shower and grab a bite to eat, okay?â
She snuggled into his embrace.
âWe have to head back home later.
â
Even though things that happened recently rattled Melissa a bit, she figured they shouldnât mess with her life.
Matthew was at home waiting for her, and she had to keep an eye on Yvonneâs piano class tonight.
Marcus ran his fingers through Melissaâs hair.
âHey, you donât need to stress.
Matthewâs a good kid.
Julie can handle him at bedtime.
And if Yvonne slacks off once in a while, it wonât ruin her lessons.
â
âI want to go home,â Melissa murmured.
Her voice barely above a whisper, she added, âOur home.
