âWill there be puppies there?â she asked.
Albert nodded.
âLoads! And Iâll get you one.
â
Jeslyn snuggled in closer.
âIâm in if thereâs a puppy.
â
The secretary watched, smiling.
She could see the bond between Albert and the girt.
An hour later, a private jet took off from Heron International Airport.
Marcus and Melissa were aboard too.
Marcus poured himself a drink.
âMr.
Waston truly knows how to live it up,â he said with a grin.
Albert couldnât tolerate the guy.
He chuckled.
âQuit acting like youâre broke.
â
Seeing Jeslyn absent, Marcus boldly remarked, âI kept it low-key for your sake.
I didnât know you were more high-profile than me!â
Albert turned to Melissa, asking, âHow can you even stand this guy?â
With a grin, Marcus shrugged.
âTo each their own.
â
Their bickering was routine.
So Melissa grabbed a blanket and headed to the lounge to nap, ignoring them.
Inside, Kiana and Jeslyn were having a blast.
The two girls, of the same age, had become fast friends.
Jeslyn greeted Melissa as she entered.
Then she pleaded, âCan I borrow Minnie? Please just for a bit?â
Kiana, a few months younger, protested.
âMinnieâs mine!â
Melissa chuckled.
She knew Kiana must have shown off to Jeslyn first.
Spoiled by their dads, the girls fiercely squabbled over Minnie, neither willing to give in.
These two hours were quite the headache.
The plane touched down in Duefron.
The families parted ways and later Melissa heard that Jeslyn was deeply attached to Minnie, crying for half an hour in the car.
Marcus drove home.
At three in the afternoon, the villa was tranquil.
Kiana dashed to find Minnie as soon as she stepped out of the car.
