But as he turned to face her, she gave him a stinging slap.
âLeonel, what else do you want, huh?!â she shouted at him.
âBecause of what happened between you and Anika, people now discuss about me every day.
I was hospitalized again and again because of you! What else do I owe you? Why do you keep pestering and humiliating me like this?â
But Leonel didnât care about the slap and scolding at all.
He roughly pinned her to the bathroom door and her nightgownâs strip fell again.
She tried to pull it up, but he didnât let her.
Holding her waist, he buried his handsome face in her neck and asked in a low voice, âAre you taking the kids abroad with Timmy? You Like Timmy and you want to be with him, right?â
Leonel had found out the previous night that Timmy had gone through the formalities to enable him go abroad for further studies at the end of the year.
When Alexis heard these questions, she raised her head to look at him.
She had no idea that Timmy was going abroad.
But since Leonel had confronted her, she decided to play along.
She hated him so much that she was determined to make him angry.
âYes, so what?â she retorted with a sneer.
âHow does it concern you? Itâs none of your business who I go abroad with, who I decide to be with, or even who I sleep with.
Do you hear me? Itâs none of your damn business!â
âReally?â Leonel gritted his teeth.
âAre you going to r@pe me again?â Alexis scoffed with a mocking smile on her face.
âWhat else can you do apart from that now? Donât make me despise you even more.

Seeing the tears in Alexisâ eyes, Leonel immediately felt sorry for her.
He reached out to wipe her tears away, but Alexis jerked back, saying sharply, âDonât touch me⦠Leave me alone, Leonel!â
She was clearly upset with him.
In the warm bathroom light, they looked at each other.
Leonelâs eyes showed his deep feelings, while Alexis seemed determined to move on.
After a tense silence, she said softly, âYes, itâs true Iâm going overseas with Evelyn and Daniel, but Timmy isnât coming with us.
Leonel, you donât have to worry about that.
Can you just leave me be from now on?â
With those words, she adjusted her nightdress, feeling awkward about being so close to Leonel in such a small space.
The bathroom was quiet, and their children were asleep in the next room.
