Alexis rose to freshen up before joining Leonel for breakfast.

During the meal, he remarked, “There’s something we need to take care of before getting married.

”

Catching his gaze, Alexis inquired, “What do you have in mind?”

Leonel suggested, “First, let’s go visit Calvin.

Then, we should think about changing Cordelia’s name.

I told you Corazon was such a beautiful name, didn’t I? After all that happened to the family, a new name for her might be the good start for our new chapter together as a family.

”

Alexis chuckled, unable to resist teasing him.

“Wow, I didn’t know you were so superstitious.

”

Leonel playfully pinched Alexis’ nose and replied, “I’d rather be safe than sorry.

”

After some contemplation, Alexis said, “Changing her name isn’t a bad idea.

But Leonel, don’t you want to know why I named her Cordelia?”

The possibility that the name had something to do with Calvin made Leonel uneasy.

Straightening his shirt collar, Leonel said with a hint of pride, “Not really.

”

“That’s your loss,” Alexis remarked.

In truth, Leonel believed he knew, but then again, he wasn’t so sure and decided to let it go.

What if the name did have something to do with Calvin, Like he picked it or something? The thought made him feel queasy.

Alexis didn’t push him further.

Later that afternoon, they went to officially change Cordelia’s name to Corazon as Leonel proposed.

But it was crazy how right after they changed her name, Cordelia got hit on the head in the evening.

Then the next morning, she got scalded by hot water for no reason.

Poor thing had a big blister on her shin.

When Cordelia got rushed to the hospital, Waylen was freaking out.

He pointed at Alexis and Leonel, saying, “What’s with this whole name-changing thing? You might be cool with it, but what about Cordelia? You guys gotta switch it back.

This new name just doesn’t agree with her!”

Cordelia cried out, “It hurts.

It hurts.

”

Waylen quickly scooped the little girl into his arms and tried to comfort her.

Cordelia scrunched up her face, looking all cute and upset.

As a dad, Leonel caved in right away.

He nudged Alexis and said, “Let’s change it back.

Right now.

”

Once he dragged her into the car, Alexis turned to face Leonel, cupping his handsome face in her hands.

“Wait, what? Are you not hating the name Cordelia anymore?”

Leonel brushed her lips with his fingers and said, “Even if it makes me jealous, for our daughter’s sake, we gotta switch it back.

Otherwise, Dad’s gonna chew me out.

He had that ‘I’m gonna eat you alive’ look.

Kinda like the one you had last night when you were, you know…”

“We’re talking business here, Leonel.

I can’t believe you’re getting all dirty-minded right now.

”

Alexis gave his handsome face a gentle pat and asked, “You really don’t want to know where the name Cordelia comes from?”

Leonel gazed at Alexis, then after a pause, he softly asked, “Is it because of me? Is that it, Alexis? Is it that night of meteor shower?”

He wasn’t oblivious to the situation.

He simply couldn’t believe that despite everything he had done, their shared past still held such significance in Alexis’ heart.
