Edwin intended to remind Laura of what had happened that night.
They had had s@x several times that night before she passed out and he had to finish the wedding dress for her.
Laura was a shy woman.
Her face flushed instantly when Edwin brought up that night in front of so many people.
However, Edwin still didnât relent.
He leaned in close to her and chuckled.
âHey, Iâm talking about the wedding dress.
Why is your face so red? Were you thinking of something naughty?â
Laura refused to talk to her cheeky husband.
Edwin chuckled again.
His eyes turned to Alexis on the stage and an emotion-filled sigh escaped his lips.
Alexis was finally happy.
Leonel held Alexisâ hand.
Through the veil, he asked her softly, âCan I ki*s you now?â
The crowd hooted.
Alexis didnât say anything.
She gently grabbed Leonelâs arm and slowly went closer to him.
She was tall.
She only needed to go up on her toes to reach his lips.
The coupleâs Lips met through the veil.
The ki*s was gentle and soft.
After that light peck, Leonel couldnât stop himself from lifting her veil up.
His good-looking thin lips tenderly covered hers, and at the same time, he firmly wrapped his arm around her waist so that she could lean into him.
The ki*s lasted a long time, after which he whispered to her, âLeonel and Alexis will spend the rest of their lives together.
â
Stroking his handsome face, Alexis asked in a gruff voice, âYou wonât leave this time?â
Leonel shook his head.
âNo.
I wonât leave.
My leg has been broken.
How far can I really go?â
He hugged her sweetly.
For him, Alexis was not just his wife, or just the mother of his three kids.
She would always be the little girl he remembered from their childhood days, who walked in front of him, her schoolbag bouncing on her back.
They had experienced so much, and the ambiance of the wedding left them touched.
The guests were moved as well.
When Alexis was supposed to toss the bouquet, everyone was waiting with ready hands.
However, Alexis didnât throw it.
She stepped forward, hugged Olivia, and thrust the bouquet in her hands.
Alexis said in a gentle voice, âYou and Elva must find someone you Like and get married.
â
Oliviaâs throat clogged with emotion and she was unable to say anything for several moments.
Raphael turned to the side to watch her.
Perhaps he recalled something from the past, because his eyes softened a bit.
They didnât glint as aggressively as they had that morning.
But Olivia was not interested in even sparing him a glance.
She returned Alexisâ hug and whispered, âI will.
â
Before this morning, Olivia might have experienced bouts of melancholy every now and then.
But after last night, she was certain that she and Raphael were over, and nothing remained between them.
