Benjamin smiled and patted him on the head. âIn this case, do keep a close eye on my performance and let me know if I need any improvements!â
Zacharyâs eyes went wide when he saw how easy-going Benjamin had become.
âFor now, you need to stop following us and go take a shower! We can wait for Mommy on our own!â Gavin reminded him with a stern face.
âAll right, you kids go wait for your mommy in bed. She takes rather long showers, so she wonât be done so soon. Iâll go take a shower myself now,â
Benjamin instructed.
The six kids had always felt more relaxed without him around, so they were delighted when he agreed to leave them alone.
Upon seeing the kids happily climb into bed, Benjamin shook his head with a smile and went off to take a shower in the bathroom outside.
Arissaâs heart was instantly filled with joy when she came out of the shower and saw the kids lying in bed.
âYou kids want to sleep with me tonight?â
âYeah! Hurry up, Mommy! Weâre getting sleepy here!â Jesse replied.
âMr. Graham gave us permission to sleep with you tonight!â Jasper added.
âMr. Graham was going to have us sleep in our room at first, but Jesse took care of the problem with her charm!â Oliver said.
Zachary chuckled. âPfft! Jesse didnât use her charm! She was just trying to sound fierce, thatâs all! I bet Mr. Graham gave in to her cuteness instead!â
âWeâre sleeping with Mommy regardless of whether Daddy allows it!â Gavin chimed in as well.
Tim snickered silently from the side.
âNow, now... Time for bed, kids! Have you all drank your milk?â Arissa asked with a smile.
âYes, Mommy! Yours is outside!â Jasper replied.
âIâll go get it for you, Ms. York!â
Tim then hopped off the bed and ran outside to fetch it.
Arissa had a huge smile on her face as she sat down beside the bed.
âWeâve already explained the situation to Tim, Mommy! He doesnât blame you for what happened!â Oliver told her.
Arissaâs eyes lit up when she heard that. âReally?â
Jasper nodded profusely as he crawled over. âYeah! Tim said it himself that he doesnât blame you at all!â
Would be nice if Tim could call me âMommyâ too... Arissa thought to herself with a chuckle.
âTim may not call you âMommy,â but I think he has already accepted you as his mommy!â Zachary comforted her.
âJust give him some more time, Mommy! Iâm sure heâll call you âMommyâ soon!â Gavin added.
He too, used to think Arissa didnât want him at first.
It wasnât until after he found out the truth about what happened to her that he stopped blaming her.
Jesse was about to say something as well, but Arissa quickly stopped her with a shushing motion as she heard footsteps outside.
