Chapter 744 Not Supposed To Eat Snacks In Class After a short chat with Robert, Arissa led the children and left with Benjamin to visit Mary at the hospital. âSweethearts, how was school today?â
Arissa hugged the six kids tightly and gazed at them tenderly as she concernedly asked.
âYes, Mommy. We have been paying attention in class the whole afternoon!â Zachary reported. âTim was especially serious!â Gavin chuckled.
Going to school was a first for Tim, and despite being clueless about almost everything, he was the most serious among the six of them.
âSo, what did you learn in school, Tim?â Arissa smiled at the boy. âWe had a math class today. The teacher taught us about numbers,â Tim answered in a small voice.
âMommy, Tim is very clever. He understands everything the teacher taught us!â Jasper chirped. âI can recognize a few of them before this!â
Tim had learned how to calculate money when he went to work with the other kids in the village. Hence, it was little wonder he could pick up numbers easily.
âYou can do it, Tim! Iâm sure youâll be more impressive than us in the future!â Oliver clenched his fists and encouraged his brother. Tim bobbed his head.
âYouâll surely be amazing, Tim. Read the numbers aloud to me when we get home!â Arissa adoringly caressed the boyâs head. âOkay!â Tim agreed and gradually broke the ice with Arissa after some interactions.
The woman bent over and gave the boy a peck on his head. Suddenly, Jesse let out a sigh. âIâm the stupidest among all!â
âNo, you arenât. I can teach you if thereâs anything you donât know.â Gavin hugged Jesse as he reassured her. A smile crept up on Arissaâs face as she watched their interaction.
âYouâre just lazy!â She pinched Jesseâs nose. The young girl was indeed not as clever as her brothers, but her intelligence was comparable to other children her age.
âShe even sneakily tried to eat something in class!â Zachary giggled. Arissa was surprised to hear that. âJesse, you shouldnât do that. Your actions will affect other kids in class.â
âI didnât let the other kids see me doing that, Mommy.â Jesse let out a mischievous laugh. âIf you want to eat something, you can only do that during breaks. You arenât supposed to eat any snacks other than water in class,â Benjamin reminded.
Upon seeing her fatherâs stern expression, Jesse murmured, âI only ate a bun. A bun isnât a snack!â
While Benjamin was at a loss for words because of the young girlâs response, Arissa was already chuckling away.
âThatâs indeed not a snack. But eating during classes is not the right thing to do. Even though the teacher didnât point it out, that doesnât mean you can do that. You have to change that habit,â she explained to Jesse.
The young girl glanced at Arissa, then shifted her gaze to Benjamin, who was wearing a solemn expression.
Seeing that, Jesse bit her lips and nodded. âMommy, I got it.â âGood girl!â Arissa patted Jesseâs head. âMommy, they gave me yummy snacks too!â
The young girl clung to Arissaâs arm as she shared her joy with her mother.
âDid you share with them then?â Arissa tenderly queried. Jesseâs hair bounced about as she bobbed her head, rendering her absolutely adorable.
âYes!â the young girl shouted. Arissa smiled and caressed Jesseâs soft and tiny face.
âGood job. Remember, always share your food. So, do you have any more food left?â
Jesse stared at her mother and beamed. âNo more, Mommy! We finished everything!â
âWe still have some cookies left just now, Mommy. But we finished them. Are you hungry?â Gavin fixed his gaze on Arissa.
She curled her lips. Well, she was honestly a little hungry.
âIâm fine.â
âBut Mommy, Iâm hungry!â Jasper touched his belly.
Arissa affectionately stroked his nose. âWeâll see if thereâs any kiosk nearby when we arrive at the hospital. Iâll get some buns for you all.â
âAwesome!â The children were ecstatic.
âI wonder if Great-grandaunt misses us? We should buy more and share some with her!â
âSure!â Arissa replied gently.
That made the six children squeal in excitement.
It was then Arissa realized that Benjamin had been quiet throughout. Directing her gaze at the man, she saw him holding onto a tablet in his hand, busy dealing with work matters.
