Chapter 817 Why Are You Back So Early Arissa could feel her face flushing as she flinched. âWeâre home!â Benjamin released her after nibbling her ear. He glanced out the window and noticed they had indeed arrived.
âI wonder if Gavin and the others have returned.â Arissa looked at the brightly lit house but had no idea if anyone was in it. âWere they home when he called?â Benjamin tilted his head and stared at her.
âNot yet!â Arissa met his gaze and quickly looked away. Benjamin grinned and stroked the back of her head. Soon, the six children ran out of the house. Arissa was elated to see them. âTheyâre home!â
She quickly opened the car door while Benjamin followed right behind. The little ones ran toward her. âMommy, youâre home!â They were delighted to see her. Arissa embraced the children and kissed them. âWhat time did you arrive?â
âWe just reached home, Mommy.â Jasper said gleefully, âArenât you supposed to be on a date with Mr. Graham? Why are you back so early?â
âIt wasnât a date. It was a wedding dinner!â Arissa explained to Jasper. She then handed them the candies from the wedding dinner. âCandy!â Jesse clapped her hands happily.
Arissa gave her a smile. âYou canât eat too many since youâre losing your baby teeth.â The little girl stuck her tongue out in response to her motherâs remark. âDaddy!â
âMr. Graham!â Gavin, Tim, and Zachary looked at Benjamin and greeted him. âHey.â Benjamin nodded and stroked the boysâ heads.
Oliver, Jasper, and Jesse, too, called him in a sweet voice, âMr. Graham!â âHas your great-grandaunt gone to sleep?â Benjamin asked them about Mary.
The six children shook their heads. âNot yet. She was still watching a television program when we left!â
Benjamin arched his brows. Good to know that sheâs doing well. Meanwhile, Kingsley, Shaun, and Jonathan had also arrived. âMr. Watts, Mr. Bailey, Mr. Patterson!â Gavin greeted these men first while the other five children followed suit.
Out of curiosity, they stared at Jonathan with their little eyes. Jonathan, too, sized the children up with a grin. Seeing the children stand in one line, he found them utterly adorable. âHi there!â
âKids, this is Jonathan Patterson. You can call him Mr. Patterson,â Benjamin introduced Jonathan to the five children.
âHello, Mr. Patterson!â Zachary was the first to greet him.

He squatted down and embraced them. He could not stop himself from stroking their heads and pinching their cheeks.
âI didnât bring you gifts today, but I promise I will when I see you again. Here are some monetary gifts for you.â Jonathan had prepared gifts for all six children, including Gavin.
âThank you, Mr. Patterson!â The six little ones thanked Jonathan gleefully.
Seeing the smiles on the childrenâs faces, Arissa asked politely, âThatâs so nice of you, Mr. Patterson! You could have just brought some candies for them.â
âI have to since itâs my first time seeing these kids. Theyâre adorable!â The stern-looking Jonathan responded with an affectionate smile.
Although they were already close to the little ones, even Kingsley and Shaun could not help but hug them. âCome, letâs go in. Iâll carry you!â
Each of the two men carried two children in their arms.
Jonathan picked the remaining two children up and walked behind Kingsley and Shaun.
Arissa was pleased to see how these men were fond of the children.
âLetâs go in too!â Benjamin held Arissaâs hand and entered the house.
Arissa hummed in response and walked in with him.
Shaun, Kingsley, and Jonathan continued to focus on the children. âWe brought these candies back from the wedding. We havenât had the chance to taste them. Why donât you guys try them and tell us if they taste good?â
