conversation with the guards
When he got into the room, he saw how disheartened Arielle looked, and he also saw a woman
standing right beside Vinson
In an instant, he knew what had happened. So Arielle was telling the truth after all!
âArielle!â Jason walked toward her and shielded her. He then glared at Vinson and fumed, âWhy donât
just love and appreciate your wife? Must you cheat on her? What are you thinking?â

Vinson moved his lips as he prepared to answer him. That was when Jason added, âSince you donât
want her, Iâll have her! Please donât hurt her anymore!â
With that, Jason grabbed Arielleâs wrist and dragged her out of the room.
Arielle hesitated for a moment, but for some reason, she went along with him.
When Vinson saw them leaving, he wanted to chase after them.
Just then, Penelope grabbed him by his wrist.
âLet go of me!â Vinsonâs grim expression startled Penelope.
However, she wasnât going to let him slip out of her grip.
âMr. Nightshire!â Penelope gulped and added, âDonât you guys have a plan or something? Are you sure
itâs okay for you to chase after them like this?â
Although she didnât know anything about the plan, she assumed it had something to do with them
wanting someone to think that they werenât in love. If Vinson goes after them, doesnât that mean the
plan could get jeopardized?
Indeed, hesitation flashed before Vinsonâs eyes when he heard what Penelope said.
Penelope was celebrating inwardly when she realized she guessed it correctly. âIâm sure Ms. Moore
would understand the circumstances. Maybe you should just bring me back to the manor first? You can
always explain to Ms. Moore when she returns, right?â
Meanwhile, Jason had dragged Arielle all the way out of Wave Karaoke.
Perhaps the strong gusts of wind played a part because Arielle felt a rush of emotions suddenly.

end up fighting with Vinson for real? No! I must go back in there and sort it out. Arielle wanted Vinson
to know the truth, that she was actually overwhelmed by jealousy.
Arielle turned around, and she was about to head back in. However, Jason grabbed her again.

voice was tinged with disappointment.
Initially, he had only gone along with Arielle to find out if she was telling the truth. He wanted to know if
she was actually married and if she was there to catch her husband cheating.
If she was indeed telling the truth, he was supposed to just give up on her. After all, he wasnât one to go
after married women.
