Chapter 140 Explosion At The Building
Vinson barged in looking very serious.
Shocked, Arielle stood up. âYouâ¦â
âThereâs an explosion, hurry up and get out of here!â He grabbed her hand and ran away as fast as he
could.
The people at the dressing room were stunned for a second and then scrambled out of the place at
once.
By the time Arielle got out of the dressing room with Vinson, there was chaos everywhere and flames
were seen blazing from the stairwell.
âGasoline! Someone spilled gasoline!â A staff screamed at the top of his lungs as he ran past the
dressing room.
While running toward to exit, Arielle asked Vinson, âWhatâs going on? Is this a prank?â
Before he could answer, his phone rang. It was Carter.
He answered the call. A nervous Carter spoke over the phone, âVin! Where are you? That dude
escaped, leaving a note behind which says stop wasting effort because itâs doomsday for us.â
âOkay, make a police report now. Thereâs an explosion here at Southall Group.â
âWhat? An explosion? Darn it! It must have been those who helped that dude escape. They knew youâre
there, and⦠Are you all right? Weâre on our way.â
âDonât worry, Iâm okay for now. Iâll hang up now.â Vinson continued running as he updated Arielle, âItâs not
a prank, but an attack. Hurry up!â
She did not ask further. Holding his hand tightly, she quickened her steps.
When they were about ten meters away from the main entrance, they realized that the crowd stopped
moving.
âWhatâs happening? How do we get out?â Vinson asked fiercely.
Iris approached them, crying breathlessly, âThe entrance⦠Itâs locked. None of us can get out of here.
The fire is spreading fast. Nobody knows if there will be more explosions. Mr. Nightshire, Ms. Sannie, are
we going to die here?â
Arielle released Vinsonâs hand and held Irisâ hand to comfort her. âRest assured that we wonât die here. If
the entrance is locked, then break it open!â
When thereâs a will, thereâs a way. Iâm not going to die today, not here, not now.
She asked Iris to stay on the spot while Vinson and her squeezed themselves through the crowd to get
to the entrance.
There were a few security guards trying to pry the door open. A few desperate employees even lifted the
stool and smashed it on the glass door.
To their dismay, no matter how hard each person tried, the seemingly fragile glass doors showed no
signs of damage.
One of the security guards even tossed away the tool in his hand and lamented hopelessly, âItâs
useless⦠After the terrorist attack in another country two years ago, the glass doors in our company
have all been replaced with A-grade tempered glass which is harder than diamond. Even a bomb canât
break it, let alone the chair.â
Arielle walked toward the security guard and reprimanded him, âDonât utter anything negative! How is this
door shut tight? With a lock? If so, pick it.â
Dejected, the guard shook his head. âItâs not so simple. This is a smart door. Iâve tried it a few times at
the security room just now. The smart system has been destroyed and it canât detect anything. Thereâs
no way we can open itâ¦â
Vinson interrupted, âWhereâs the security room?â
The guard revered Vinson and pointed at the floor above them without any further ado. âItâs the first room
on the first floorâ¦â
Vinson nodded and informed Arielle, âSomeone must have modified the program. Stay here, Iâll go and
take a look.â
âNo, Iâll go with you!â
âDonât take the risk. Stay here!â
