Chapter 1602 I Have Misunderstood Her
Hearing the familiar voice, Lana whipped around. When she realized the person standing before her
was the man who had been on her mind constantly, she was so excited that she wanted to leap into his
arms immediately. However, the thought of how he had heartlessly broken up with her had her stop
dead in her tracks.
Watching the flames of fury in Xavierâs eyes, she suddenly refused to struggle any longer. Instead, she
leaned against the other manâs chest and said to Xavier, âWho do you think you are? What right do you
have to bother us?â
When the other man heard what Lana had said, he thought Xavier was just another stranger who
wanted to hit on her. With a hostile gaze, he looked at Xavier. âBro, youâre late. I saw her first. If you
want to pick up a chick, you have to move fast!â After saying that, he prepared to leave with his arm
around Lana.
At that sight, Xavier hastily held Lanaâs hand. âAre you sure you want to leave with him?â
Aggrieved, she looked at him and replied, âItâs not my wish to leave with him. Itâs all because you donât
want me anymore. You want to dump me!â
âDid you hear that? Sheâs my girlfriend!â Xavier stared at the other man with his penetrating eyes.
The latter had not anticipated that Lana had a boyfriend. He was in no position to get entangled with
that sort of woman. At that thought, he left while grumbling under his breath.
Dillon was watching Xavier all the while. The moment he saw Xavier grabbing Lanaâs hand, he realized
something was going on between the two, so he tactfully stayed away and did not bother them.
Xavier took Lanaâs hand and brought her outside, where they were met by a chilly gust of wind. The
cold caused her to shrink back instinctively. Upon noticing that, he took off his coat and draped it over
her.
âI donât need your fake concern!â Lana had dignity too. She tossed the coat back to him and stared at
him with her beautiful eyes as she raged. âHavenât you broken up with me? Havenât you already
discarded me? Why do you care what I do now?â
As Xavier listened to Lanaâs complaints, he felt distressed, but more than that, he felt puzzled.
Shouldnât she be happy that I asked to break up? After all, she already has some other man that she
likes.
âArenât you worried your boyfriend will get jealous and angry if he learns that youâre drinking in the bar
like this?â
Lana already had a headache from the liquor, and Xavierâs words made it worse.
âYou already broke up with me! How on earth do I still have a boyfriend?â
Xavier was surprised by her reply and instantly pondered what she meant.
âDid you date another man after weâve broken up?â he asked, staring at her with expectancy brimming
in his heart.
Angered by his query, Lana glared at him fiercely with reddened eyes. âWhat do you mean by that? In
your eyes, am I the kind of woman who changes boyfriend like changing clothes? Do you think I would
find another man immediately after we broke up?â
Hearing her words, Xavier stared deeply into her eyes and asked, âThen who was the man who sent
you back the night we broke up? Why did he kiss you?â
When Lana heard that, she instantly sobered up a little. So he saw everything that day. No wonder he
wanted to break up with me!
âSo, you saw it all!â Lana looked at the quiet Xavier and smiled wryly. âThen did you see what
happened after that?â
Needless to say, he had not. If he had, he would not have broken up with her.
âEric, after he kissed me, I slapped him and chased him off. You didnât see it, did you?â
Xavier was shocked by her words. Iâve misunderstood her!
âLana, Iâm sorry. I didnât knowâ¦â He immediately apologized to her. âI thought you had a new loverâ¦â
Then, he looked at her. âCan you forgive me?â
