The next morning, Gayathri woke up early to prepare Vaiga for school. She got Vaiga dressed and ready, and then dropped her off at school.
After dropping Vaiga off, Gayathri headed to the hospital for her shift. She spent the day tending to her patients, her mind occasionally wandering to Vivek and their new life together.
By 4 pm, Gayathri had finished her shift and headed back to school to pick up Vaiga. As they drove home, Gayathri thought about how convenient it would be to have the school bus pick Vaiga up from their new home, which was located in the city center. She made a mental note to speak with the school authorities about arranging for the bus to pick Vaiga up from their house.
When they arrived home, Gayathri was surprised to see Vivek fast asleep in his room. Gopi Anna informed her that Vivek had arrived home at 2 pm, exhausted from his work.
Gayathri peeked into Vivek's room, seeing him sprawled out on the bed, sleeping soundly. Vaiga tried to disturb him, but Gayathri gently stopped her.
Instead, Gayathri focused on getting Vaiga settled in for the evening. She freshened Vaiga up, got her a snack, and then helped her with her homework.
As they worked on Vaiga's homework, Vivek finally woke up, stretching and yawning as he made his way to the dining table.
Vaiga ran to him, hugging him tightly and asking, "Daddy, where were you yesterday?"
Vivek kissed her forehead, saying, "I had work, sweetie."
Gayathri looked up at Vivek, her expression serious. "Vivek, we need to get Vaiga's study table from my old house. Can you arrange for it to be brought here?"
Vivek nodded, saying, "We can get it tomorrow evening."
As they spoke, Vivek's eyes locked onto Gayathri's, his gaze intense and piercing. Gayathri ignored him, trying to maintain her composure.
Just then, Vivek's phone rang. He answered it, listening intently to the caller. Suddenly, his expression changed, and he jumped up from his seat.
"I have to go," he said, quickly changing into his police uniform. "I have an urgent job to attend to."
Before leaving, Vivek kissed Vaiga goodbye and blew a flying kiss to Gayathri, who reciprocated with a scowl, her anger evident.
Vivek smiled, seeming to enjoy the banter, and then rushed out of the house, leaving Gayathri to wonder what kind of job he had to attend to at such short notice.
