Vivek's heart was racing as he called Gayathri soon after Anand's visit. "Gayathri, are you okay?" he asked, trying to keep his voice calm.
Gayathri's voice was reassuring. "Yes, Vivek, I'm fine. What's wrong?"
Vivek didn't want to alarm her, but he had to make sure she was safe. "I just wanted to check on you. I'll come to pick you up from the hospital soon."
Gayathri agreed, and Vivek decided to take her and Vaiga to his father's house, where they would be safe. He went to Vaiga's school to pick her up and then headed to the hospital to pick up Gayathri.
But when he arrived at the hospital, Gayathri was nowhere to be found. The hospital staff informed him that she had been picked up by a policeman who claimed to be Vivek's friend.
Vivek's eyes widened in shock. "What? Who was the policeman?" he demanded.
The hospital staff shook their head. "We don't know, sir. He just said he was your friend and that you had sent him to pick up your wife."
Vivek's mind was racing. He knew that Anand was behind this. He quickly called Anand's number, his anger boiling over.
"Anand, you bastard! What have you done with Gayathri?" Vivek shouted.
Anand's laughter echoed over the phone. "Why would I need your pregnant wife, Vivek? You're being paranoid."
Vivek's anger turned to fury. "If anything happens to Gayathri and my baby, I won't spare you, Anand! You'll pay for this!"
Anand's voice remained calm. "Cool down, Vivek. Cool down. You're getting worked up over nothing."
Vivek's eyes narrowed. "I'll find Gayathri, and when I do, you'll regret ever crossing me."
Anand chuckled. "I'm shaking in my boots, Vivek. Bring it on."
