108 Ch. 108 Yuna’s Decision

“Richie, are you out of mind? I can’t believe you bring a snake into your house. Aren’t you worried your mother will get hurt? What about your brother and your sister-in-law?” that very day, Diego phoned Richard right after he finished his lunch. As soon as Richard picked up the voice call from his cousin, he immediately received a long oration, and Richard listened patiently.

He had already received an earful from his father, and he didn’t want to receive the same thing from his elder cousin.

“Diego, calm down. My father has lectured me just like you. I know what I’m doing, and you don’t have to worry.”

“I’m not worried. You’re no longer a kid, but you know we can’t stop Chleo or aunt Katie if they discover your wife’s identity.”

“Then don’t let them know. Besides, Diego, I haven’t scolded you because you investigated my activities.”

“It’s a good thing I did. Otherwise, I don’t know what would have happened to Raymond or Michele.”

“Hhh... really, how far did you investigate my wife? You even know that she hates Michele.”

“Not only that, there was a mysterious person following you last week for a few days. Luckily Miyu managed to protect your home database, and now it seems she can’t find you. By the way, where are you now? Miyu can’t track you either.”

Richard laughed at the last words. “I am in the safest place in the world, and if Miyu can track me here, that means this place won’t be the safest one.”

“And you brought the snake to that place?”

“Her name is Anxia, ??brother. She’s not a snake. Don’t badmouth my wife, or I won’t stay silent even if it’s you.”

“There is no dangerous agreement between us. I married her because I love her.”

Diego’s eyes widened upon hearing this. How could he order Miyu to find any baby if his main focus is only on Richard’s wife’s identity?

After all, he couldn’t find any data that said the woman had ever given birth to a child, so he had no idea that Richard had preceded Raymond in having a child.

“You already have a baby? Since when? How old is she?”

“She’s only three. I just found out a few weeks ago.”

Three?! That meant Richard had met Qiao Anxia four years ago. Wasn’t that the same year that Raymond married Michelle?

Is this a coincidence? Or is someone planning their meeting?

“Did someone set you up with that woman?”

Richard chuckled at his cousin’s accurate guess. Indeed he was drugged, but it was Anxia herself who drugged him and no one else. Nonetheless, Richard decided not to tell the truth so as not to make his cousin dislike Anxia even more.

He had gone to great lengths to open his wife’s heart, and she began to open up to him. All that was left was to make his wife forget the past and accept Michelle into their family.

If his cousins ??were unfriendly and antagonistic towards Anxia, ??then it would be difficult for him to make Anxia forget the past and end her grudge.

“Oh, my gosh! Is that your daughter? When will you bring her here? I want to meet her right now!” shouted Yuna when Diego showed Lori’s photo to his wife. “You think we could set her up with our Richsen?”

Diego and Richard choked on their saliva, hearing Yuna’s last reclamation.

Richsen was their five-year-old son, but Yuna has been thinking about getting the two together!? One was five years old, while the other was only three. It was still far away from thinking about marriage arrangements.

“Uhm..., they are still babies. And, they are cousins.”

“Darling, you know the blood ties between you have been severed since Uncle Stanley’s generation was born. After all, your surnames are different, meaning the two are no longer related by blood. They can get married!” Yuna exclaimed passionately, making Diego unable to refute her. “Richard, I will never allow another man near little Lori. She shall be my daughter-in-law when she grows up.”

Diego and Richard were both lost for words hearing Yuna’s unanimous decision, which made Richard more unwilling to bring his family to the states.

They were all cousins, but only Richard and his two younger siblings were distant relatives.

He knew sooner or later, he would have to let go of his daughter to live with someone else. But at least it would be after Lori reached the age of marriage or perhaps longer.

Richard couldn’t handle it and decided to bid farewell. “I have to go now. Talk to you later.”

Richard exhaled a relieved sigh when his call connection with Diego ended. But his relief didn’t last long because Rossie gave him a report that could make him panic instantly.

“Master, Lady Anxia is now meeting with Lady Q in person.”
