133 Ch. 133 I Feel Blessed
âXia Xia, relax a bit. Youâre too tense.â
Anxia couldnât help but scream in her heart and bit her lip in frustration.
âIf youâre worried Iâll attack you, donât be. Tonight Iâm not going to do anything to you.â
It felt like Anxia wanted to dig a hole so she could hide in it. Her husband never missed an opportunity to make her push and lose badly, even before the game started.
âRelax. Hmm?â Richard stroked Anxiaâs clenched fists as if persuading his wife to open her fists.
Soft strokes and loving whispers made Anxia relax her tense muscles. She will believe her husbandâs words. After all, they couldnât possibly do it in the car with their little daughter sleeping next to them. Because of that, Anxia lets herself lean comfortably in front of her husbandâs sturdy body.
Slowly, her fists opened, and Richardâs fingers slipped between her fingers and held her hand.
Anxia felt wet kisses on her neck, making her close her eyes, enjoying the kisses on her neck.
âYou said you wouldnât attack me,â Anxia grunted and managed to hold back her delicious sigh due to Richardâs mischievous lips.
.....
âI wonât attack you, but that doesnât mean Iâll stop worshiping you.â
âIs this your way of dodging my previous question?â
âNo. This is my way of answering your previous question.â
Anxia moved to shift her body slightly and tilted her body slightly to look straight at her husband. âWhat do you mean?â
Richard answered her question by kissing Anxiaâs lips briefly, starting Anxia in shock.
âTell me, what exactly are you worried about? Is my confession on the balcony not enough to answer your question? Iâll only love you, and I have never felt this strong for a girl. I donât care what your past is like or your background. To me, you are my Anxia and my only Xia Xia.â once more, Richard kissed his wife, this time not as briefly as before.
âAre you still worried? Tell me; I will toss all your worries away,â he whispered in the middle of their kiss.
âIâ¦â Anxiaâs breath started to hitch because the kiss was so intoxicating that Richardâs tongue stroked above her lips. The man had yet to put his tongue in her mouth, but it was already overwhelming her like this. âIâm afraid you will leave someday.â
âI wonât.â
âThat is not what I mean.â
âThen what do you mean?â
âMaster Yu⦠he wonât just let me go. Right now, he might give up, but I know he will come back to hunt me. When that time comes, I donât know what to do if⦠if he seizes you.â
Richard couldnât hide his big smile at all. âYouâre worried about me?â
Anxia gulped nervously, hearing her husbandâs mischievous tone. âYou are the last person I should worry about.â Anxia turned her head away, too proud to admit that she worried about her husband.
âXia Xia,â Richard called affectionately as he tightened his embrace and buried his head into his wifeâs neck crook. âI feel blessed today.â
Anxia glanced to the side only to find a happy smile plastered on her husbandâs lips. Richard was especially in a good mood, which made Anxia confuse. She remembered earlier, ever since Richard came to her after clearing things up with Quinn, the man had not stopped smiling.
Recalling that Richard overheard all of her conversations with Quinn made Anxia feel so embarrassed that she couldnât look at her husband directly.
Besides, where could her husband hear her conversation with Quinn?
âRichie, how did you hear my conversation with that woman?â Anxia felt her husband smile against the skin of her neck.
Richard lifted his head and rested his chin on his wifeâs shoulder.
âFrom your phone. I can hear everything from it.â
âSo you hacked into my phone and spied on me?â
âI wouldnât have done it if you hadnât disappeared without a word. Besides, how did you even find Quinnâs house? How did you find the antidote? Iâve been trying all day to find possible places to find Loriâs antidote, but I couldnât. How did you do it?â
âNothing. There were outsiders secretly helping us by dropping hints.â
âOutsiders?â
Anxia fished her phone from her bag and opened a coded file. After opening the code, two addresses appeared, one was Quinnâs temporary home address, and one was a place neither of them knew.
âWhat place is this?â
âI donât know. But thereâs only one guard, so itâs easy for me to go in and get the antidote. Apart from this vial, there are other bottles containing different liquids.â
âHow do you know you took the right one?â
Anxia touched her phone screen and slid it to the left to display an image. The picture is a cylindrical tube with the same contents that Anxia took.
âWho sent you this?â
Anxia let her husband take her phone and trace the senderâs position or something she didnât understand.
âWho knows? You know whatâs even weirder?â
âWhat?â
âWhen I came to this place, many people had fainted and were locked in a warehouse. Iâm also sure the guard guarding this place knows that intruders have visited the place heâs guarding, but he doesnât even turn around or go inside to find out.â
âYou mean he deliberately let you in to steal the thing he was guarding?â
âSounds weird, doesnât it? But I feel that way.â
Richardâs forehead furrowed at his wifeâs explanation while he did not find any traces that could track the sender of the secret encryption code in his wifeâs phone.
Not to mention, one of his digital assistant programs should have been aware of the foreign signal that hacked into his wifeâs phone. Still, none noticed it, indicating this mysterious individual was not ordinary.
Could it be Loraine Shu?
Everything would make sense if the sender were Anxiaâs birth mother herself.
Perhaps, his mother-in-lawâs men silenced the real guards and locked them in the warehouse. In comparison, the guard outside the building was the older womanâs accomplice to make it look like someone was guarding the place.
If Loraine Shu was alive, why had she not shown herself?
Hhhhh⦠why is his wifeâs background so complicated?
Richard didnât mind his wifeâs background or past, but he hoped that his mother-in-law wouldnât be the hidden enemy who would separate him from Anxia.
