Ever since she was young, Anxia had keen senses, so she became the best-trained hitman by Master Yu. She didn’t need a camera or visual night goggles when infiltrating a dark place.

As soon as she was at the door, Anxia could immediately guess how many people were behind the door. Even if she was wrong, it only meant that an unexpected person had appeared from afar.

Most of the time, Anxia’s guess was accurate whenever she was about to open a door somewhere. And she was sure that only Sheylie lived in this place. Yet now, she sensed that there was more than one person in this place which meant the other two existences were uninvited intruders.

As soon as Richard was about to open the door to Sheylie’s apartment, Anxia’s magical instincts kicked in and immediately prevented her husband from opening the door.

Richard lets his wife in like a thief while carrying a knife as if ready to pounce on someone. After all, he knew there was no threat of danger inside Sheylie’s house.

Before Richard had time to tell Anxia about this, a cold voice sounded from within threatening words.

“You better fling your weapon, miss, before I blow your head.” to prove his threat was not a bluff, the man pointed his gun at Anxia and prepared to pull the trigger.

Richard widened his eyes in shock when he saw that person pointing a gun at Anxia. Immediately Richard stood in front of Anxia, blocking the person’s view.

“Alex, keep your gun away from my wife.”

Anxia and Alex both frowned at Richard’s suppressed anger in different thinking. Anxia wondered if Richard knew this older man named Alex. While the other frowned when he heard the word ‘wife.’

“Richard? Alex?” a woman’s voice was heard, and suddenly the room’s lights turned on drastically.

Previously only a tiny lamp was the light in the main room, but three adults could see their surroundings. At first, Alex didn’t take out his gun when he heard someone open the door, but when he saw a girl enter carrying a knife, he couldn’t help but reach for the gun and point it at the girl, thinking that the girl was a criminal targeting his family.

On the other hand, his wife, who had just entered their daughter’s room, did not have as sharp eyesight as the three. But she recognized the voices of her husband and Richard very well.

She wondered why Alex was uttering threatening phrases and realized that her husband was threatening Richard’s wife. That’s why she immediately turned on the room’s light so they could see each other.

As soon as the room became bright, Anxia could see the figure of a gray-haired but fresh-looking older woman standing there with a gentle smile.

“Richard, it’s been a while and Alex, why are you pointing a gun at Richard?”

Alex lowered the gun back down and tucked it into the back of his jacket. “You can’t blame me. That girl came in first like a hooligan, ” snorted Alex, then walked over and casually sat down on the sofa.

“Xia Xia, let me introduce to you the two of them are Sheylie’s parents, Alexander Howard, and his wife, Kirena.”

Anxia nodded her head once to Kirena. “I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to attack you. It’s just that, as far as I know, Sheylie lives alone here. So when I sensed the presence of two strangers, I immediately went on guard.”

Everyone who heard it, including Richard, widened their eyes in shock.

Anxia could feel the presence of two strangers even though the girl hadn’t entered the room yet??

Richard didn’t know whether he should be proud or worried about his wife’s unique gift. He was worried that his wife would experience a similar situation when she entered a family member’s house in the west, especially if she entered Kinsey Alvianc’s house as she did before.

In contrast to Alex, who still held the trigger of his gun, Kinsey would have immediately shot without finding out who was entering the house suspiciously.

Imagining this made Richard shudder and wish that something like this would never happen.

“Is this your daughter?” asked Kirena, trying to defuse the tense atmosphere between her husband and Richard’s wife.

Richard smiled proudly as if the older woman’s praise was meant for him.

“Wait here with Kirena; I’ll meet Alex for a while,” whispered Richard to Anxia.

Then Richard walked out and sat down next to Alex in a casual manner.

“Firstly, you told no one that you were married, and secondly, you had a baby out of wedlock. And now you’re dropping another bomb by marrying an abnormal girl??”

“Don’t say that. Xia Xia looks normal to me.”

Alex rolled his eyes lazily at Richard’s reply with a mischief smirk.

“That is not what I mean. Did your father know about it?”

“Of course. We stayed at his house for a few days.”

“Oh? And he said nothing?”

“Sir Howard, trust me. My dad has already lectured me at length, so I don’t need yours.”

“If you say so. But I still couldn’t believe it. How could she detect someone’s presence behind the door? I’m a bit in awe of him.”

Richard chuckled at that, once again feeling proud as if the praise was meant for him.

“Isn’t she amazing? This is also the first time I know of my wife’s unique ability.”

“Love is blind is truly not an understatement, huh?”

“As if you’ve never fallen in love.” Richard sneered without hesitation.

“Hahaha… I guess you’re right.”
