193 Ch. 193 The Siblingsâ Fight (part 1)
In the afternoon, Anxia, Michele, and Harmonie started to doll up with the help of a make-up artist that Madeline had provided to serve them. Their dresses were already hanging neatly in the rows of clothes they would wear later.
Anxia would wear a semi-modern red dress with a semi-modern Asian style that extended to her toes. The dress had small sleeves up to the shoulders and had a floral pattern of a combination of black, red, and gold colors adorning the topâthe lower part was plain but decorated with delicate lace.
Micheleâs dress was plain navy blue without any print, while Harmonieâs dress was knee-length rose gold with a longer back skirt than the front.
Different make-up artists dressed up the three in the same room. Then, Anxia opened up a topic that caught Micheleâs attention.
âMoni, I saw you riding with Andrew this morning. Are you two officially an item now?â
âOh? Since when did Harmonie have feelings for Andrew?â Michele was clueless about Harmonieâs feelings.
âI know, right? I thought she needed quite a long time to move on from her fiancé. But apparently, she didnât need any time and instantly found her true love.â
âAnxia, ??stop teasing me,â Harmonie grumbled as she felt Anxia and Michele chatting with each other as if she wasnât in their midst.
Anxia laughed in amusement, followed by a sincere smile from Michele, seeing the blush on their sister-in-law.
.....
As far as Michele could remember, she had never seen Harmonie blush or show a happy glow when she was with Geraldâher ex-fiancé. The girl rarely talked about her relationship with Gerald to her family, as if the girl was seeing no one.
âBy the way, are your brothers aware of this?â asked Anxia with curiosity, earning a shaking head from Harmonie.
âThey donât know, and I hope you donât tell them.â
âWhy?â
âI have a bad feeling. I donât know why⦠but I feel they would be angry if they knew.â
âWhy would they?â Michele asked in confusion because she didnât understand why her husband and brother-in-law would be angry if Harmonie found someone who could make her happy.
âUm⦠Iâm sorry.â Anxia replied regretfully and worriedly. âI told Richard before we came here.â
âWhat??â
And sure enough, Richard looked at Andrew with a ferocious look as if Andrew was his nemesis in the past. On the other hand, Andrew, who had just been stricken with incomparable happiness, had to put away his happy smile when he saw Richardâs hostile gaze.
âRichie? What is it? Why are you looking at me like that?â
âAndrew. Between me and Harmonie, which one would you choose?â
ââ¦â
âRichie? What are you talking about? Why did you tell him to choose between you and Moni?â Raymond, who had previously been reading a book in the lounge while waiting for the ladies to finish dressing up, was astonished when Richard came in with a cloudy expression.
The man walked back and forth until he could go around the huge mansion once before Andrew finally appeared and joined them. But the first thing Richard did since Andrew came was stare at him with anger and hatred.
What happened?
âThis guyâ¦â Richard pointed his index finger at Andrew accusingly. âHitting on our baby sister!â
Raymond widened his eyes at that, then decided his brother was joking and laughed as he walked over to his brother. âThatâs not possible. Maybe youâre imagining it. Isnât that right, Andrew?â Even though Raymond didnât believe his twin brotherâs accusations, he still asked it with a demanding tone.
Andrew couldnât help but heave a heavy sigh. Handling one father was handful enoughâit would be overwhelming if the two overprotective brothers disliked the idea of him dating their sister.
âBut, donât get too confident my boys will accept you.â Now he understood why Stanley would give a warning like this. Andrew had never expected that Calvinâs twins would oppose him getting close to their sister.
âRichard, Raymond, please hear me out. I canât look at Moni like I used to... not anymore. I love her very much, and Moni loves me too. Weââ
âNo! I wonât accept it,â roared Richard, then walked away from the room because he couldnât stand being in the same room with Andrew.
âRichie,â
âDonât call me that! Ever!â Richard shut the door, causing a bam sound.
âI donât understand. Why are you against us?â Andrew hoped Raymond could answer his question because he was confused by Richardâs uproar.
While they were teenagers, Andrew was closest to the Calvin twins than any other cousin. When they went to the same school, they were also almost inseparable.
Initially, Andrew was optimistic that the twins would be happy to know that he and Harmonie had finally bonded. But it turned out⦠his guess was wrong.
âAndrew. If you still consider us cousins ??and friends, can you let Harmonie go? I donât want her to suffer.â
âI will not let her suffer. You know that too. I love her so much, more than my life. I thought you would understand.â
âI do. Do you really think Richard and I would never find out your true feelings toward her?â
âWhat? You already knew?â Andrew had no idea that his two cousins ??knew a secret he thought he had kept so well hidden.
âWeâre not blind, Andrew. And we are guys, too. When I met Michele and knew what it was like to love someone, I could feel it from you when you looked at my sister. But Richard and I kept our eyes closed and assumed you decided never to show it. But we never expected you would court her directly.â
âWhat exactly are you guys worried about? Can you explain it to me? How am I supposed to know what you guys are thinking if you donât tell me?â
Raymond walked over to him and tapped Andrew once on the shoulder gently.
âThereâs no point in me saying it. Youâd better find out for yourself.â
In the meantime, Richard walked over to his sisterâs dressing room and immediately opened the door without knocking. The sound of the door opening so loudly that it hit the wall surprised everyone in the room.
âRichie?â Anxia was surprised by her husband, who appeared suddenly while wearing an angry face as if someone had made him mad.
âMoni, from now on, you are banned from meeting with Andrew.â
