35 Ch. 35 Act Like A Husband And Wife

The following day, Lori, in her new clothes, was glowing and smiling with satisfaction as she walked into the dining room with her mother. She will have breakfast with her parents, grandpa, and grandma for the first time.

“Good morning, little princess. Are you happy to sleep with dad and mom?” Meisya greeted in a gentle tone, making Stanley surprised.

It wasn’t because of his wife’s gentleness but because he was surprised by her question. Sleeping with dad and mom? What does that mean? Did Richard also sleep with the child’s mother? Even though he had deliberately given his son a job, Richard didn’t have time to sleep with them.

But, well, since Lori asked, what can he do? Even Stanley disliked his daughter-in-law; it was a different story with his granddaughter.

“En. I’m very happy. But I hope they’ll be with me when I wake up. I wish they could give me a good morning kiss.” stated Lori with puppy eyes and an intertwined finger behind her back.

So cute! Thought Meisya and Harmonie almost had a nosebleed on the spot seeing the little girl’s adorable action.

But not with Richard and Anxia. Richard was still acting normal, but he praised his daughter’s intelligence in his heart. He would buy all the toys his daughter wanted after this, even though Lori’s grandparents had bought her a lot of clothes and toys upon the little girl’s arrival.

Their groceries were so plentiful that they almost even rivaled Anxia’s. However, Lori’s groceries were immediately brought home and neatly arranged in the child’s room, while most of Anxia’s things were delivered to Richard’s house, which was elsewhere.

Even after knowing that, Richard would buy new toys and clothes for his daughter to take to his own house. While the rest would be left here per Stanley’s request. Stanley allowed Lori to come here and stay at his home, so he kept Lori’s toys and Lori’s clothes in this house.

Anxia didn’t know the plans of the two competing men to dot Lori and become the favorite figure in the little girl’s heart. If she had known, maybe Anxia would have been shocked to death. Even at this moment, she almost vomited blood at her daughter’s burdensome request.

It was only a few hours ago that her relationship with Richard had become so strained that it was difficult to mend it, but her clueless daughter had instead made a request that was so unacceptable to her!?

Anxia immediately took her drink glass. For some reason, she suddenly felt very thirsty.

“Okay, I will sleep with you starting tonight.”

Richard’s straightforward answer made Anxia choke on her drink and cough.

Richard swiftly took a tissue and wiped Anxia’s mouth while gently patting his wife’s back.

After her choking circumstance subsided, Anxia glared at her husband in confusion. What the hell is this guy thinking? Aren’t they fighting?

Anxia’s glare grew wider as Richard kissed her lips without warning. What is this man doing!?

On the other hand, Lori giggled as she closed her eyes with her tiny hands. Seeing Lori, who was embarrassed to witness the intimacy of her parents but laughed lightly, made Richard and Meisya laugh too. While Stanley only gave a faint smile while glancing in the other direction, he still refused to see his son seducing an assassin.

“Brother, we are still here, you know, and we have a minor here. Get a room.” Harmonie’s statement made everyone else laugh except Stanley and Anxia.

“Aiya, dad, it’s not fair. Why did you only kiss mommy? Me too!” Lori’s teasing made Richard chuckle, then spun around to kiss his daughter’s forehead.

“Eh? I want it on the lips, too.” sulked Lori in a spoiled manner.

“Sorry, baby girl. But my lips are only for your mommy.”

Once again, Anxia coughed because she was choking on her saliva, while Lori cheered with joy while teasing her mother.

“Mommy, you’re so lucky.”

“...” Anxia said nothing and focused more on finishing her breakfast.

“Mommy, are you not happy?”

Huhuhu... why doesn’t her daughter want to give up and keep asking questions?

“Maybe your daddy didn’t truly kiss your mommy, so she was sulking.

Richard was stunned to hear his father’s words. Is it really his father speaking?

The same thought occurred to Anxia. Stanley clearly hated her, but why did the older man challenge Richard to kiss her again?

Seeing the awkwardness of her new daughter-in-law, Meisya hit her husband’s shoulder in exasperation.

For some reason, Anxia felt her face heat up at her mother-in-law’s words. The woman’s words didn’t help her at all!

“What? Daddy, are you faking it when you kissed mommy?”

Anxia wished to shut her daughter’s mouth.

That’s enough, Lori, stop talking and finish your food quickly! Anxia screamed in her heart.

“Well, then. You shall do it again, daddy.”

For the umpteenth time, Anxia had a heart attack from her daughter’s words.

“Okay. I will do it.”

Anxia’s heart skipped a beat when she saw Richard stand up and turn around to come over to her. Before Richard arrived in front of her, Anxia immediately got up and went straight to the toilet. She couldn’t face this absurd family.

Furthermore, she didn’t understand why Richard was kissing her, let alone obeying their daughter’s wishes.

Didn’t they fight? Didn’t they both agree not to go overboard in silence? Or is it just Anxia assuming this?

Only after washing her face and calming down did Anxia get out of the bathroom. Her steps stopped when she saw the man who had confused her standing there as if waiting for her.

There was no sound near them, indicating that only the two of them were in the bathroom area.

“What are you doing?”

Richard’s eyebrow rose at his question. “What am I doing?”

“Why did you kiss me? Didn’t I tell you...”

“Didn’t you say you would act like my wife if anyone else was around?” cut Richard before Anxia could finish her sentence. “I’m also acting as your husband in front of my family. What’s wrong with that?” Richard gave a sarcastic smile and then left the dumbfounded Anxia.

What an asshole! How dare that man use her words to take advantage of her!!
