Su Yurou’s red lips were now pale. Her slender body was trembling slightly and her brows were knitted as if she was in great pain!

Su Yurou’s tears kept flowing. She absent-mindedly touched her stomach, as if whispering to herself or praying that her baby was fine.

There was an uproar all around. They had not expected Su Yurou to be pregnant as she had just gotten married to Gu Zihang. Was it a shotgun marriage?

Su Wan’s bright eyes swept across Su Yurou. Her face darkened and her eyes were filled with suspicion. “You’re pregnant?”

Based on Su Yurou’s character, it was weird how she did not create a lot of hype when she bore Gu Zihang’s child...

Hearing this, Su Yurou froze. To avoid people from seeing her guilt, she stood up and there was a piercing scream.

“Would I use my child to deceive you? ...Ouch, my stomach really hurts...”

“Doctors have their own ethics and medical standards. Su Yurou, you think too highly of me.”

Su Yurou looked anxiously at her father and then looked around the room. Her eyes were red and her beautiful face looked pitiful.

“My stomach does not hurt that much now. I hope the shareholders’ meeting would not be delayed because of my private matter. I’m sorry, I’ve wasted so much of your time.”

Everyone started gazing at one another for a while. It seemed Su Yurou was feigning, for why else would she not allow Su Wan to call the doctor?

After a few sighs, the shareholders returned to their seats. Su Yurou was supported by her father and they too returned to their seats.

Su Jiankai sent Su Yurou back to her seat and walked toward the chairperson’s seat in front.

Su Wan smiled coldly as she watched the father and daughter.

Su Wan took big steps toward Su Jiankai. She darted a glance at his pale face and with a loud voice, said, “Uncle, you’re at the wrong seat.”

Su Jiankai became angry. His old face was tinted with red and white alternately. “Yurou has taken a step back just now. Don’t you go overboard, Su Wan!”

Su Wan looked steadily at Su Jiankai. “Huh, you know very well who took a step back. This is the shareholders’ meeting, not a performance stage for you and your daughter!”

When Su Jiankai saw Su Wan’s scorn, he was taken aback and wanted to retort.

However, never had he expected the other shareholders to speak out.

“Mr. Su, do step down. Ms. Su Wan is the biggest shareholder!”

When Su Yurou saw her father sitting next to her, she clenched her teeth tightly and her nails almost dug into her flesh.

With hatred, Su Jiankai glared at Su Wan and was silent for two to three seconds. Finally, he stood up with a face full of disgrace.

“Thank you for attending Sheng Yuan Group’s shareholders’ meeting. There are two main motions for discussion on today’s meeting agenda. Let us first look at the summary of work from last year till now. Then, we will look at the recent planning report of Sheng Yuan.”

Su Jiankai read out the summary and planning word by word while Su Wan merely listened silently without any comments.

“Why do we want to collaborate with the Gu Group for Sheng Yuan’s Xicheng project? Isn’t it too careless if it is because of the marriage between your daughter and Gu Zihang?”
