Li Peng carefully supported Yang Xiaobing. Before they left, he looked back reluctantly once again at the person at the window he yearned for day and night.
Since Feiâer was back, he would have a chance to look for her in the future.
Li Peng had pursued Lin Feiâer for so long and knew that Lin Feiâer was a person with firm speech and a soft heart.
He had indeed made a huge mistake. If he were to continue pestering her, he would be able to soften her heart over time, wouldnât he?
He really missed her. Even when he woke up every morning and looked at the woman sleeping beside him, he would call Lin Feiâerâs name.
This was not what Li Peng wanted.

Su Wan sat opposite Lin Feiâer. Her seat was facing the entrance.
When she looked up, she saw Li Peng and Yang Xiaobing walking into the elevator hastily.
Su Wan looked steadily at Lin Feiâer and reminded her softly, âTheyâve left. Letâs eat in peace.â
Although Su Wan did not mention who âtheyâ were, Lin Feiâer understood Su Wanâs meaning immediately.
Lin Feiâer lowered her head and looked at the menu. When she heard Su Wan, she took in a breath of air.
Lin Feiâer was silent for a moment and finally pushed the menu in her hand to Su Wan. âHere, Wan, you order.â
This menu was clearly exquisitely made with pictures and texts but when Lin Feiâer looked at it, it was like a vast expanse of white and she could see nothing.
When Su Wan was about to accept the menu from Lin Feiâer, she was scared by her hoarse voice.
She looked up at Lin Feiâer and saw that her face was much paler than it had been a while ago. She seemed to be forbearing something.
Ladened with remorse, she stared at Lin Feiâer as she frowned. Her clear eyes showed how much her heart ached.
âDidnât we say to eat in peace? Stop thinking about that couple.â
Lin Feiâer sniffed and smiled in self-mockery. That faint smile was bitter and astringent.
âWan, do you think Iâm useless? It has been so long and I still canât let go.â
While Lin Feiâer spoke, her eyes turned red and she choked with emotions.
Su Wan quickly shook her head and walked over quickly to Lin Feiâer. She wiped off Lin Feiâerâs tears.
âSilly girl, how could I possibly think that youâre useless? What happened isnât your fault at all.â
If Su Wan were to put herself in Lin Feiâerâs shoes and if this incident were to happen to her, she felt she wouldnât be any better than Lin Feiâer.
Li Peng had stabbed Lin Feiâerâs heart and the scab of the deep scar could not be restored to its original appearance.
Su Wan had experienced such pain when she was betrayed by Gu Zihang but she knew the harm that Lin Feiâer experienced was far more serious than hers.
Seeing Lin Feiâerâs eyes still red, Su Wan quickly changed a conversation topic.
âBesides, isnât the theme of today to live up to good food? Donât tell me you have no appetite. Iâve given you a chance to eat all you want. Iâll be embarrassed if you donât give me face.â
Lin Feiâer was amused by what Su Wan said. She turned cries into laughter and glared at Su Wan.
âOkay, Iâll eat as much as I can and make you run out of money.â
Lin Feiâer took back the menu and browsed through it for a while. Then, she waved the waitress over. When the waitress saw her waving, she came over immediately.
âMay I have the steamed lobster, deep fried oysters, sautéed mussel with black bean sauce, spicy crab, steamed razor clam with minced garlic, and cumin saury, please? Oh, and please add on radish and white clam soup as well as a bottle of red wine and a glass of corn juice.â
âAlright, please wait for a while.â
Su Wan was shocked when she heard Lin Feiâerâs long list of order and then exclaimed, âFeiâer, I donât care that youâve ordered all these. If you canât finish them though, Iâll blame you.â
A smile appeared on Lin Feiâerâs exquisite face. She looked at Su Wan teasingly and she looked more cheerful now.
âI can take away what we canât finish, silly.â
Su Wan nodded. Then, they chatted about local customs of Dong Chen country.
The food was served fast in Yun Shuixuan. Lin Feiâer took the bottle of red wine and poured herself a glass.
When Su Wan saw how she drank, she couldnât help but to remind her, âDonât drink too much. If youâre drunk, I canât carry you.â
Lin Feiâer rolled her eyes. âI can forgive you for not accompanying me to drink on my day of return but how could you still want to control me?â
As Lin Feiâer spoke, she pushed the corn juice which she had ordered for Su Wan towards her.
Su Wan took the glass of corn juice and took a sip before putting the glass down.
âDonât you know that I canât drink? Feiâer, itâs harmful for your body if you drink too much wine. You donât have a good gut, why donât I order corn juice for you?â
As Su Wan spoke, she snatched the red wine bottle beside Lin Feiâer. Lin Feiâer drank the last bit of wine in her glass and shot a look of dissatisfaction at Su Wan.
âWan, Iâm a good drinker. Give me back the wine.â
Su Wan smiled but shook her head. âI said no. Okay, the dishes are all served. Letâs eat?â
Lin Feiâer pouted helplessly but she felt touched in her heart.
Lin Feiâer wasnât a sociable person but she felt it was worth having such a good friend like Su Wan.
One was lucky to have a good friend in life.
Su Wan wore a pair of disposable gloves and started peeling the crabs before placing them into Lin Feiâerâs bowl.
âI feel heaty lately and canât eat this. Can you eat all of this spicy food?â
Lin Feiâer nodded softly and her smile deepened.

Both of them ate for about twenty minutes and finished half of what were on the table. Suddenly, Su Wan felt uncomfortable.
She stood up and told Lin Feiâer, âFeiâer, I need to go to the washroom!â
Seeing Lin Feiâerâs nod, Su Wan stood up hastily. There were no washrooms on this floor. So, she walked quickly toward the elevator.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
After coming out of the toilet, she walked to the wash basin slowly. She looked at her red face and red lips in the mirror and she couldnât help laughing at herself.
She had said she could not eat spicy food but under the encouragement of Lin Feiâer, she couldnât control herself and so, she ate a few mouthfuls of spicy crabs.
She hoped she wouldnât have pimples when she went back.
Su Wan turned on the water tap and splashed her face with some water, trying to feel some coolness.
Suddenly, Su Wan heard sounds of footsteps. They obviously belonged to a woman in high heels.
Su Wan did not notice the person but a delicate voice came from behind.
âSis-in-Law, I didnât expect you to have lunch here.â
Su Wanâs body froze. She blinked her eyes and turned around.
