"Finally, I am upâ¦" Valko walked out on the terrace. The wind was quite strong and his clothes fluttered in the wind.
He slowly mounted off the sniper rifle that he had bought along with him. It belonged to Axel but they didn't think they would have been separated like this so it had been with him all these time.
As for why he had brought it all the way up here?
It was to see if he could find something with it, even though he was not so confident about his shooting skill, he could use the scopeâ¦
And even fire shots to draw attention. That was a good use for himâ¦.
Valko took out the flare and as he was about to fire it, he suddenly stopped noticing a white flash in the distance. And an angry screech quickly followed afterâ¦
It was quite far away from where he was but the flash still caught his eye.
He immediately placed his eye near the scope and tried to see if he could find what was going onâ¦
"Hmmnâ¦."
Valko frowned. Even though he couldn't see it very clearly, he was still able to make a human figure.
And the only one thing which was very clear to him was the creature flying up above in the sky letting out an angry screech which was audible to him even at such a distance.
The screech induced a fear in his heart which almost made him freeze for a second and this was still a few miles away.
"It has to be the Horde Commanderâ¦" Valko muttered in fear as sweat trickled down his forehead. That was the only thing capable of doing something like that..
A white light once again flashedâ¦.
It seemed someone was attacking itâ¦.
But who in hell was brazen enough to do so?
As Valko thought about it, he suddenly remembered about Orca's last day planâ¦.and after relating to this white flashes of lightâ¦
His face suddenly paledâ¦.
He didn't hesitate and immediately shot the flare but instead of shooting it straight up, he curved it towards the direction where the fight was taking place.
After doing that, he immediately ran down without a stop and barged into the control room.
He had been afraid of using the broadcasting system earlier as it might attract beasts and even other Academy members if possible...but now, it didn't matterâ¦
He immediately turned the volume levels to dangerously high and then screamed in the mic with all his might.
"ORCA IS INITIATING THE LAST PLAN!!!!!"
"THEY ARE TRYING TO ENRAGE THE HORDE COMMANDER!!!!!"
"I REPEAT!!!''
"ORCA IS INITIATING THE LAST PLAN!!!!!"
"THEY ARE TRYING TO ENRAGE THE HORDE COMMANDER!!!!!"
Valko didn't stop at that and kept screaming until he couldn't anymore.

Max didn't see the emergency flare in the night sky. But Zenith who was up on the lookout did manage to catch a glimpse of it.
But it was a bit too far away to clearly see whether it belonged to their group or not.
Not to mention, it was in the middle of the night. Could they even move out and help the other person? It was very riskyâ¦.
Still, he walked up to Max. After all, he was the only guy who was most likely awake. I mean, who could fall asleep while being tied in an upright position?
"I just saw a flare in the distanceâ¦.I am not sure if it was ours..."
"Hmmn..where did it come from?" Max was awake as expected.
"Straight aheadâ¦it was quite farâ¦" Zenith replied.
"Fine, I will go take a lookâ¦.I can't rest like this anywayâ¦" Max said as his ropes suddenly loosened and he easily slipped out of it.
"Should I wake someone? It's dangerous to go all alone.." Zenith said, looking at Max.
"It's fineâ¦" Max said with a smile as he moved like a gust of wind and immediately disappeared.
...
"Damn, never felt that not having eyesight was so suffocatingâ¦" Max muttered as he pulled the blindfold down to his neck and felt extremely relieved.
"Tskâ¦" Max clicked his tongues when he was suddenly spotted by a group of Blood Eating Bats.
He suddenly waved his hand and flames burst forth from it but that wasn't it, his other hand suddenly joined and he injected the wind force magnifying the flames and lighting up the night sky.
It wasn't a perfect combination, but just supporting one element with another.
After dealing with them, he began to move once again but only a few seconds later, he came to a stop as some heavy and blurry noise entered his ears. It was different for the howls and screeches of the beasts that he was hearing all along.
He concentrated on his ears and the voice slowly became clearer to him. But as it did, his face slowly changed colorsâ¦
"These guysâ¦.they really like surprising peopleâ¦" Max muttered as he suddenly shot out like a bolt of lighting at full speed.
His spear came out and began to hover around him as he tore through every obstacle in his path.
At the same time, Max informed the rest.

In Zealand Academy's base.
The voice here was clearer here, they were definitely closer to Valko.
"Orca is really being viciousâ¦" Faryl smiled.
"What should we do? It might be more difficult than we thoughtâ¦." One of his trusted aid spoke.
"No worries, you lead the rest of the team away from hereâ¦.and if the situation seems to get worse, go down the sewers and keep hunting down the beast's...and stay in the competition till the last date.." Faryl commanded.
"What about you?"
"These guys dare to make a fool out of us? Don't I need to show them their place?" Faryl smiled but his aid broke down cold sweat knowing full well that he didn't like someone pulling a win one over him.
Yes, it seem to run in Bahamut's family....
"Besides, the real competition begins now. Those guys from other Ancient Families are definitely mixed in here as well. I would like to strike down a few of themâ¦"
With that he disappearedâ¦.

In Vienna Academy's base...
"Ren, what's wrong?"
One of the students asked as he looked at Ren standing there with a frown on his face.
"The beasts are howlingâ¦." Ren spoke.
"What's wrong with that? They do that every nightâ¦" the student replied.
"Hear it, the howls are different from the previous nights. It seems their voices are shakenâ¦." Ren calmly replied. If there were students who had the most practical experience with beasts then it had to be students of Vienna.
"Shaken? Are they in fear? Who could make them so fearful?" Another guy frowned.
"The Horde Commanderâ¦" Ren's words immediately sent the group in a total silence.
"We are moving away from this place. Jin, you take the lead and get others to safetyâ¦.use the mine we found on the outskirts to hide....even though it had a group of beasts, it is still better than coming in contact with the horde commanderâ¦." Ren said as he looked at them.
"Don't come out till dawn...I will see which idiot has provoked the monsterâ¦" Ren commanded before moving out as well.
