With a serious expression, Matthew snapped, "How can you know if you don't give it a shot? Just stand there and watch me take them on."

After saying that, Matthew turned to walk toward Eliel. With conflicted emotions, Judson watched Matthew's back.

There was no way to win against them because their numbers were overwhelming. The 200 executives were influential and had serious connections. Their ties were so complicated that they dominated almost half of Lambda City.

All of a sudden, Juden found himself worried about Matthew.

After ending the call, Eliel felt like he had solid backing, which boosted his confidence when he spoke. "Are you hoping to talk things over with me now?"

Matthew coldly responded, "Let's talk."

Judson jabbed his finger at Judson. "If you want to talk, you must dismiss him first. Otherwise, forget it."

With a grim expression, Matthew replied, "What if I don't?"

Eliel declared staunchly, "In ten minutes, Mr. Proctor from the electricity company will show up to notify you about the electricity outage. We'll also have Mr. Oswald from the water company announcing the water cut. Even the taxation office will be involved. Long story short, you're going to regret this."

Matthew glanced at his watch. "Sure. I'll give you ten minutes."

Ten minutes later, a car rolled into Silvaris Pharmaceuticals.

As the car came to a halt, three people got out. A bald man led the group, casually walking over with his hands behind his back.

Upon spotting the newcomer, Eliel eagerly said, "My brother-in-law is here. You're in big trouble."

Strutting over, Eamon Proctor turned to Eliel and asked, "Who is the person in charge of the factory?"

Eliel pointed at Matthew. "It's him."

Eamon hummed in acknowledgment. With his hands behind his back, he strolled up to Matthew.

With an air of authority, Eamon gave Matthew a once-over. "So, you're the boss around here? You've got some nerve to provoke me. Let me talk some sense into you."

Just then, a voice rang out from the crowd. "You're not worthy of talking to him."

Eamon furrowed his brows and looked at the crowd below. "Who said I don't have the right to talk to him? Do you even know who I am? Who just said that? Show yourself."

A person stepped out from the crowd. "I said it. You're not fit to have a chat with him. Let's have a word."

The moment Eamon laid eyes on the speaker, his face went pale, and he even stuttered, "W-why are you here, Mr. Moore?"

Cedric coldly stated, "I won't tolerate your behavior when I'm not around. I'm announcing your suspension for an investigation."

Eamon got flustered. "Please hear me out, Mr. Moore. I-I was just—"

Cedric sternly remarked, "You can explain that to the Office of Inspector General. I don't have time for this. Besides you, the people from the water company and taxation office aren't getting away from this."

With a thud, Eamon dropped to the ground. He was convinced he wouldn't be scrutinized because he knew that everyone at his level had some dirt. It was all about who got unlucky with the Office of Inspector General.

Eamon always considered himself lucky. He'd never imagined this day would come. Out of nowhere, he found himself facing the heat.

Eliel was stunned. He realized the situation with Eamon was serious. If Eamon went to jail, Eliel would lose his backer. His sister would be out of luck as well.

Eliel had no idea Matthew had this much power. The latter even got Cedric involved. Right then, Eliel regretted it so much.

Seeing Eamon in hot water, he hurried over to Matthew. "I'm willing to give up my position. I'd be fine with being a regular worker. I beg for your mercy and spare Eamon."
