"...What should we do now?" Elysiaâs question made me look at her as I sat on an old sofa within one of the buildings of the city.
"The beastmen?" I questioned back, glancing at the three bruised and unconscious beastmen laying on the ground.
"....Yeah, we canât just leave them here," she replied, and I nodded in response.
"Nadya."
"Yeah." The pink-haired girl who was holding the head of one of the beastmen replied.
"Can you control them?"
"Hmm...I can control the female one...but I donât think I can control the males."
"Do it then," I replied, standing up. "We already got all the information we needed."
"Okay~"
Nodding my head in reply, I walked towards the window from where I could see all the buildings below and the horde of blood beasts standing in hibernation.
The area below us was filled with them, while more could be seen till the biggest building that stood in the middle of the city.
My gaze lingered on the building as I thought about the beings I need to face just as soon as I arrive in that place.
"....Something on your mind?" My train of thoughts interrupted with a voice, making me glance at Elysia.
"....They told us that a bishop will come here," I mumbled in reply, shifting my focus back on the building.
"I see," Elysia responded, her expression thoughtful as she joined me by the window. "Do you think theyâll come alone?"
"I doubt it," I replied, my eyes narrowing as I scanned the area below. "Theyâll likely bring reinforcements, especially after their scouts are dead."
Elysia nodded in agreement, her gaze following mine. "Whatâs our plan, then? Do we confront them head-on?"
I sighed, running a hand through my hair as I considered our options.
"Itâs risky. We donât know how many of them there are, or what kind of abilities they might have. From what I know, to become a bishop one needs to be at least at ascension level."
"...Another one," she let out a tired sigh as she shook her head.
"Yep, another one," I replied, smiling. "Anyway, we need to go towards the main building first."
"B-but Neil," she stammered, looking at the beastman, "what did they mean with holy blood? What does that do?"
"Ohh, that," I mumbled, looking at Nadya. "Well, letâs just say your mother has the holy blood."
"Huh!?" She let out a startled voice before she exclaimed, "Wait! Waiâ."
"Ssshh," I said, placing my hand on her mouth to stop her. "Havenât I told you to stop shouting?"
She nodded, and I removed my hand as she continued meekly, "...So you are saying a bishop from the dark church is coming for our mother?"
"Well, yeah," I shrugged.
"Ohh, Goddess Athena bless us," she mumbled, massaging her forehead.
".....When did Athena last talk with you?" Curious, I asked, making her look at me.
"....Itâs been a few days since I last talked with her. She warned me about something that will happen to Nadya but didnât tell me what," she replied, furrowing her brows.
"She asked about me?"
"...Not this time. She only talked to warn about Nadya."
"Hmm," I hummed in reply as I looked back at Nadya, who had her concentration fully on the foxkin woman.
"Nadya."
"Yeah, baby."
"...On a scale of one hundred, how horny are you right now?"
"Two hundred."
"Are you for real!?" Elysia interrupted our conversation with an absurd look on her face.
"...I canât help it when he is around," she replied smiling, winking towards me.
"Arghh... rabbits," Elysia grumbled, glaring at both of us.
"Anyway Nadya, if you feel any kind of uneasiness or you are feeling out of control, just tell me, okay?" I instructed as the foxkin woman slowly started to regain consciousness.
"Then, I need to take a bath," she replied, making me look at her in confusion.
"Why?"
"You filled me too much and now itâs leaking."
"Arghh... I donât want to hear that, Nadya," Elysia grumbled, placing her hand on her ears.
"...we will stop at any water source then," I replied, glancing at her while she smiled mischievously at her sister.
"Elysia~"
"I donât want to hear anything, Nadya, shut up!"
"But I am not saying anything~," smiling, she walked closer to her.
"Stay away!" Elysia exclaimed, taking a step back.
"Give me a hug, sister!!" Opening her arms wide, Nadya ran towards Elysia.
"Ahhh stay away!?" Elysia ran in the opposite direction.
Like a frightened mice, Elysia ran around the hall, and like a cat playing with her prey, Nadya ran behind her.
[...You changed their lives.]
âWell, I never had any good intentions when I met,â I mused as I looked at Nadya running while grinning widely, âbut I am glad I did what I did.â
[....You got yandere, what else do you want?]
âMaybe a system waifu?â
[....Just off yourself, degenerate idiot.]
â....Yeah, like hell I would go for a useless system.â
"Neilll!! Help!!" I shifted my focus as Elysia shouted, hiding behind me.
Instead of replying, I opened my arms the same way Nadya did as she ran into my arms, giggling without a second thought. Explore more adventures at empire
"Wait!" She exclaimed as she looked at me before moving towards the foxkin.
I also followed behind her as the foxkin looked around in confusion.
"Whatâs your name, foxy?" Nadya asked, squinting her eyes.
"Linda, master," she replied, bowing her head in front of Nadya.
"Linda," Nadya called her, passing her the knife, "kill yourself."
"Yes, master," she replied, taking the knife. Without a second thought or hesitation, she brought the knife towards her throat.
"Stop!" Nadya instructed again right as she was about to prick the knife on her neck.
"She is in full control," Nadya mumbled, glancing at me as she took the knife from her.
"You know itâs frightening to see your abilities," I muttered as I looked at the foxkin who was totally in control of Nadya.
"I will do the same to you if you go for more women," she replied, smiling widely.
"... Thatâs a joke, right?" I asked softly, only getting a gentle smile in reply.
"Right?" I asked again, making her giggle.
"Of course, why would I do that?" She questioned before she walked towards Elysia, "but it will be interesting to see if your woman can handle me."
[Let me rephrase my work âYou got a yandere; you canât get anything more.â]
âHa ha, very funny.â
"Okay, guys." I clapped lightly, bringing their attention towards me, "we are moving out, and I want us to cover at least half the distance before nightfall."
"I need a bath first."
"...We will search for a bath first," I changed my words, glancing at Nadya.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
"...A bath for two."
"...We will search for a bath where two people can bathe."
"Anâ."
"Shut up, Nadya," Elysia grumbled, glaring at her and at me as well.
"Letâs move out noâ."
"What about the rest of the beastmen?" Elysia questioned, reminding me of the two unconscious beastmen.
"Hmm, Nadya, can you shut their brains?" I asked, glancing at her.
"....Well, I can, but it will take some time," she replied, walking towards them.
"Do it then; we will wait for a while," I replied as I walked towards the window again.
"Okay~."
As I arrived in front of the window, I once again looked at the building at the center of the city.
[....Something bothering you?]
âThat building....
I feel like someone is calling me from that place....â
