CHAPTER 1469 THE NEGOTIATION
âTake us somewhere safe, Glutton!â Rocky commanded the beast.
With a thunderous roar, Glutton soared to the sky and quickly flew away from the Purple Demonic Zone.
The elder in grey immediately chased after them alongside several mighty King Realm warriors to protect Eunice from Rockyâs attacks.
An hour of flying had passed. Rocky discovered that a few people were still on their tail. He redirected his gaze and guided Glutton to land on the dense jungle below them.
The beast followed his instruction and soon landed.
âYou can return to the Magic Spiritual Space now," Rocky informed Glutton. Then he redirected his attention to Ramon and said, âYou wonât be able to shake off those guys so easily. You should return to the post house. Iâll meet you there and join you once I distract them.â
âIâd prefer to stay with you. I could give you a hand when necessary,â
Ramon insisted with a frown. Although they had taken Eunice as a hostage, he was still worried.
âDonât worry. It will be fine as long as sheâs with me," Rocky assured him with a smile.
âJust be careful.â Ramon realized that remaining by Rockyâs side would be unnecessary. He immediately turned around and flew towards the post house.
Once Ramon left, Rocky took Eunice in the opposite direction.
âLet me go!â she shouted as she shot him a venomous glare.
âYour men have been following us for quite a while. If I release you, Iâm afraid Iâll have to play with them all day long,â he replied with a devilish smile dancing across his lips.
âItâs no use. Even with your strength, you wonât be able to get rid of them at all,â Eunice snorted vehemently as she rolled her eyes.
âNot exactly. Truthfully, I wanted to be alone with you for⦠another reason,â Rocky hinted mischievously.
âWhat do you want from me?â Eunice asked as her demeanor swiftly morphed from being calm and cold to being curious and worried.
âDo you truly think thereâs any other reason why a man would want to be alone with a woman?â
he expressed more bluntly this time.
âYou mean you want to⦠You pervert! If you dare touch me, Iâll tear you into pieces!â Eunice broke out into a violent rage. Her face was now tinged with crimson as she struggled to free herself.
âSomeoneâs feisty! Could it be youâre still⦠a virgin?â he teased with a wiggle of his brows.
âShut up! Itâs none of your business, you idiot.â Eunice now blushed from her ears down to her neck. It was hard to tell if it was out of rage or shyness.
âHa-ha! Alright, Iâm done messing with you. Iâve brought you here because I wanted to ask you something,â Rocky asked seriously this time with a squint of his eyes.
âIâd rather die than tell you anything,â she stubbornly declared, still unwilling to cooperate.
âHow did you know we snuck into your stronghold? We were very well hidden,â he asked her out of suspicion. He and Ramon hadnât exposed their whereabouts before but the Robber Regiment was
aware of their location. It didnât make sense.
âHumph!â She held her head high, adamantly showing that sheâd rather choose death over submission.
âSomeone else mustâve informed you. Does anyone in the Sword Spirit City work for you?â Rocky further interrogated her.
âHumph!â There was still no progress.
âWell, if you donât tell me, Iâll have to strip you naked and slowly slice your flesh with this dagger. I can almost hear your screams while I ravage your bodyâ¦â He had no choice but to play his trump card.
âHow dare you? Go to hell!â Eunice trembled as she continued to scowl in his direction.
âYou donât believe me? Try it.â Rocky's eyes turned cold.
âYouâ¦! Fine, Iâll tell you. But promise me you wonât lay a finger on me.â Finally, Eunice was willing to compromise. Her purity was nothing to joke about.
âYou may have a good figure but Iâm not the type of man whoâs easily tempted by every woman I meet,â Rocky teased.
Euniceâs eyes widened. She looked like a predator about to slaughter her prey. She took a deep sigh and then said, âNot long ago, we received news that the Sword Spirit City would send spies to our stronghold even though we confirmed there were none. Even if there were, we wouldnât be able to detect such an obscure mission. Although I donât know who divulged the information, Iâm certain itâs someone who knew about your secret mission beforehand.â
âJust as I expected. Only a few people knew of our mission,â
Rocky revealed hesitantly. Something felt off about the entire situation.
âPerhaps you offended someone in the Sword Spirit City? Itâs not hard to see why. Youâre always annoying,â Eunice commented sarcastically.
âItâs possible.â
Rocky's eyes narrowed as he continued to guess.
âWell, Iâve revealed all you wanted to know. Can you let me go now?â She glared at him and hoped heâd stick to his promise.
âOf course. However, I have one more thing to ask. Itâs required for the Robber Regiment to be well- informed at all times, correct?â Rocky asked as he squinted his eyes.
âOf course,â Eunice retorted arrogantly.
âThen, are you aware of the wanted alien prisoners who escaped from the Shura Race recently?â he quickly asked. Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
âWhy do you ask this?â she asked in confusion. This question had nothing to do with the Sword Spirit City. It was as different as an apple was from an oyster.
âItâs none of your business. You just have to tell me what you know," Rocky informed her gravely.
Eunice momentarily hesitated and then admitted, âAlright. Yes, I do know something but itâs just a rumor."
âTell me everything you know,â he ordered.
âAs far as I know, those prisoners havenât escaped to the Ethereal Region. The Shura Race has also issued an arrest warrant. If they were smart enough, they wouldnât dare to step foot in the Ethereal Region because of the risk. They would most likely find some secret hideout to wait in until the situation
cools down. And before that happens, they have to survive at the treacherous border first!â Eunice explained as logically as she could.
âYes, I understand your reasoning. Will you help me find these alien prisoners?â Rocky suggested.
âWhy should I help you?â Eunice thought that he had lost his mind. He just kidnapped and threatened her and now he wanted her help to find some alien prisoners. Only a gullible, foolish ghost would help him!
âWell, youâre still my captive. Iâll give you your freedom for your help,â he proposed.
âNo. Besides, you wouldnât dare to kill me!â She countered him, taking for granted her one chance at escape.
âAre you sure?â Rocky's face returned to its former seriousness and gave her a look that made her blood run cold.
Eunice's delicate body couldnât help but tremble as fear surged through her. She never expected him to have a side so icy and brutal.
âHave you changed your mind yet?â he asked through slightly squinted eyes.
âWhatâs in it for me?â she asked, trying to negotiate. She didnât want to be used for nothing.
âYouâre one step away from ascending into the King Realm, right?â he questioned.
âYes, but Iâm about to break through soon!â Eunice answered with a nod.
âWhat if I can help you get there quicker?â he offered.
âStop messing around! If that was possible, then the sky would collapse on us all.â She still believed he was just joking.
âThen let me show you how capable I am of making that happen.â And with those words, Rocky took her to his Magic Spiritual Space.
âWhere am I?â Once she realized she had entered another space, her mouth gaped open in shock.
âMy place. Youâre welcome,â Rocky replied before he shouted, âCome out, guys! Weâve got a beautiful guest today!â
Instantly, Eunice witnessed countless martial spirits emerge from thin air. She found herself at a loss for words. Sheâd never seen so many spirits gathered together before.
