âIt'd be my absolute honor!â Tanner replied seriously and left with the prescription. Elise got down
to walk on the floor without a walking stick, feeling delighted about it. Although she was a senior
age-wise, who could really accept walking inconveniences and the need to use a walking stick if
they had a choice?
Violet was teary from emotion as she thanked Kayson sincerely. âThank you, Kayson!â âNo big deal.â
Kayson smiled and asked, âCan you take me to the place where Madam Snyder fell down?â
"Of course!â "We'll go there after the herbs are brewed and Mr. Smith comes back with them,â
Kayson said with a smile.
âSure!â Kayson's phone rang then. It was Chadwick âCaptain Cloude.â Chadwick's tone was
respectful. âMr. Yarde, where have you gone? Thomas said that he can't find you.â âI'm at No. 126 in
Tearock Town,â Kayson answered. âThomas said that he'd like to have a detailed chat with you
regarding Jay Lynch,â Chadwick said. Kayson frowned. âSure. I'll send the location to you. Ask him to
come over.â After they ended the call, Kayson sent the location, just like he had promised. Violet
asked, âIs your friend coming?â âMm. Not so soon, though, I think.â
A while later, Tanner came back with the herbs. Kayson started dispensing them to brew them and
told Jaden, âWatch the herbs. Add half a bowl of water every three hours.â
Gone was Jaden's brazen attitude as he nodded like a pecking chicken. âGot it!"
Tanner felt pressure around Kayson, so he decided to stay instead of following them Violet then
took Kayson and Talia to the deserted land.
They walked for over 40 minutes to get there, so the three of them chatted along the way.
Violet said, âOur family runs a tea plantation, and we plant tea everywhere. My dad then gets to sell
the tea whiolesale.â
Kayson smiled. âIt's no wonder everyone here seems to have renovated their houses. Your father's
improved the villagersâ lives. II's a good initiativeâ
Violet rolled her eyes. âPfl, it's just because the cost of buying the tea leaves here is lowerâ
Talia ylyled âI'm going to tell on you when I see him!â
âGo on. It's the truth anyway!â Violet harrumphed. Violet's mood had gotten better since Eliseâs
ailment had been treated. Her smile was bright and charming, and she suddenly pointed at the
hillside and said, âYou see that black spot over there?â
Kayson looked over and nodded.
âMy grandma fell right there. The land there is strange, you know?â Violet said.
âNothing thrives there no matter what you plant. The seeds planted won't even sprout. âWe got
experts to run a test, but the soil quality is said to be okay. Just higher in nutrients. âBut see, even
weeds donât grow there. It's odd.â Kayson took a glance and had a theory.
âIt's okay, we'll go have a look. I might know what's up.â
Violet doubted it. âFor real? Even the experts didn't know what's wrong!â âI'm 90% certain, I think,â
Kayson replied with a smile.
