Chapter 510
After stopping the car, Talia shouted, âDad, Mom, I'm back!"
Kayson had no other choice but to go inside her house with her. Upon hearing her voice, a middle-
aged woman who looked somewhat like Talia came downstairs. She was wearing a silk nightgown,
and when she saw Kayson, she nodded at him with a smile and went upstairs again.
After a short while , Taliaâ's mother came downstairs in different attire.
Talia then introduced Kayson to her mother, âMom, this is Kayson. He's the one who cured Aunt
Yvette's infertility.â
Yvonne was stunned for a moment before saying, âNice to meet you, Kace. Thank you for curing my
sister and sending Talia back.â
Kayson replied, âDonât mention it, madam.â
Yvonne smiled at Kayson gently. She was only a few years older than Yvette. However, she was
wearing well, and she looked youthful.
She was aware of the purpose of Yvette calling her daughter to her place, so she was also sizing
Kayson up.
After measuring Kayson, Yvonne smiled and asked, "May
I know where you're working right now, Kace?â
âI'm currently working at Wolfenden Corp. in Clouspring,â replied Kayson. Yvonne was stunned for a
moment before replying,â Wolfenden Corp.? Well, Wolfenden Corp. is a good company. It has been
on the rise recently, and the entire real estate industry of Skyriv has become more lively because of
its rise.â
Taliaâs family worked in the home furnishing industry, so they were familiar with what was
happening in the real estate industry.
"What is your position in Wolfenden Corp.?â
âI'm the project team leader of The Tetrad.â
âI see...â Yvonne fell silent for a moment before continuing. âDo you have any intention of moving
to Greenspring? If you want to work in a project team, I can ask Jason to arrange a position for you.
"Or perhaps you can come to work at Hall Furnishing. I'll ask Talia's father to prepare a better
position for you.â
Kayson was dumbfounded. After a short while, he said, â It's okay, madam. I donât have any plans to
stay in Greenspring
âI'm going back to my village. My mentor refuses to stay outside, and I need to take care of him.â
âVillage?â Yvonne was stumped, and her heart sank. âHe comes from a village? No, I can't let my
daughter live in a village.â
Her impression of Kayson dropped instantly.
However, since her sister valued this young man in front of her so much, she decided to give him
one last chance.â You can bring your mentor to the city too. It's much more convenient in the city.â
Kayson knew where Yvonne was going. However, he couldn't say no directly since she did not point
it out explicitly. If not, he would be putting Talia in a difficult position.
Therefore , he smiled and said, âMy mentor has gotten used to living in the village. I'm afraid he
won't agree to move to the city.â
Yvonne frowned slightly. Honestly, she was pretty satisfied with Kayson's appearance , the way he
talked, and his demeanor when she first met him.
However, after getting to know more about him, she was disappointed in him. It was good that he
wanted to take care of the older people in his family. At the very least, this proved that he was a
filial person.
It was just that it was a bad thing if he kept putting his
elder as his top priority. It seemed to Yvonne that he did not know how to draw the line.
Yvonne had lost all her interest in Kayson. There was no way she would allow her daughter to marry
someone like Kayson and move to a poor village in the countryside.
If the news got out, it would make the Halls the laughingstock of the city.
Talia stood at the side without saying anything as she knew her mother very well. Considering the
situation, she could tell that her mother was not satisfied with Kayson.
She hastily said, âKayson, thank you for sending me back. I'll ask the driver to send you home.â
Kayson did not have the intention of staying here either. He nodded and rose to his feet. âAlright
then. Goodbye, madam.â
