Chapter 511 Talia hastily got to her feet and saw Kayson out of the door. Yvonne was a tad slower,
but she still followed them to the door.
Talia said, âPlease don't mind my mother..."
Kayson smiled. âIt's okay. I don't have that kind of intention, and Ms. Summers is just being
paranoid.â
Something flashed across Talia's eyes as she snorted,â Hmph! Luckily, you know that yourself. I'm
not interested in you at all!â
After saying that, she called the driver and sent him home.
After Kayson left, Yvonne called her over. âTalia, come over here.â
Talia went over to her and said exasperatedly, âMom, what the hell were you doing just now? Do
you know how embarrassed I was?â
Yvonne said indifferently, âStop hanging with him so much in the future. You're my only daughter. I
won't allow you to spend the rest of your life in poverty.â Talia huffed and said, âI'm not going to
marry him! Aunt Yvette just wants you to know more about him. There is no chemistry between us
at alllâ.
Yvonne looked at her calmly and replied, âYou're my daughter. Do you think I can't tell when you're
interested in a man? This is the first time you brought a young man home.â
Talia's face turned red from embarrassment as she said, â He just brought me home!â
Yvonne glanced at her and said, âIf he was just bringing you home, then there was no need for you
to invite him into your home.â
"1"
Talia was stumped, as she did not know what to say to her mother.
Apparently, Yvonne and Yvette were two different types of people. She looked at her and said in a
forceful voice, âI have been through the same thing before, and I've never been wrong about a
person. This guy is unreliable. He won't be able to give you a happy life if you marry him.â Talia
replied angrily. âKayson is a great man! Even Jairo and the lieutenant from the government office
respect him a lot!â
Yvonne was slightly stunned when she heard what her daughter had said, but she was not very
impressed by it.â Donât mention Jairo in front of me. He's a disgrace, and people who hang out with
him are no good either. As for Lieutenant Beverly, well... He isnât anyone of
consequence anyway.
âWe and your aunt can talk with the mayor as if we're friends. He's a lot more important than
Thomas.â
Taliaâs eyes turned red around the rims as she said exasperatedly, âI don't want to talk to you
anymore. All you care about is whether a person can give you any benefits or not!â
After saying that, she rushed upstairs and shut herself in her room.
Yvonne frowned slightly. She found it difficult to believe that her good, obedient daughter had
yelled at her just now.
âIt seems like she really has a crush on him..." She sighed inwardly.
Apparently, an inexperienced girl like her daughter would easily fall prey to frivolous men who
talked big. She called her husband and said, âRoman , you need to come back now. If you do not,
your daughter will get deceived by a hooligan.â Roman, who was stunned, smacked the table hard.
âWho the hell would dare deceive my daughter?! I'm going to break his legs! Wait for me! I'm
coming back tonight.â
Yvonne hung up the call and called Yvette.
Yvette smiled and said, âSis? Have you seen Kayson?
What do you think of him?â
Yvonne said in a serious voice, âI'm not satisfied with him. You need to open your eyes wide next
time. We can, of course, milk him for all heâs worth, but we mustn't treat him as our friend.â
Yvette was stunned. âWhat are you talking about? Kace is a good young man!â
Yvonne said, âI've never been wrong about someone before...â
Yvette replied angrily, âIf you really are that good at reading people, why did you fail to see that
Jason's business would be successful?â
Yvonne frowned and said in a dissatisfied voice, âI'm doing this for your own good. You might regret
it if you don't listen to me!â
Yvette said angrily, âI introduced Kace to you because I donât have a daughter. Otherwise, I would
have done everything I could to make my daughter marry him!" Then, she hung up the call.
