Chapter 560
He had simply tried it out? Sadie trained her gaze on Kayson. Had it really been a case of âsimply
trying it outâ last night? It had looked nothing like that when she had seen how nonchalant he was.
He had been full of confidence and composure!
Sadie looked at him for a while longer and gave up when she realized that staring at him to
pressure him did not seem to be doing anything. Then, Liam called out weakly, âKayson... thank
you.â
He had found out what had happened. If it were not for Kayson, millions of dollars of construction
materials would have become nothing but charcoal before they could be sent to the sites.
Kayson smiled. âI'm also a part of the company. It's my duty and responsibility to minimize the
companyâs loss.â
Liam's gaze on Kayson was tinged with regret. He really should not have treated Kayson the way he
had back then
âUncle Liam, rest as much as you can. Your injury will heal soon.â
Liam asked, âDo you... need help with anything?â Kayson glanced at Sadie and said, âI asked Dr.
Ewell to
look for a medicinal herb that could heal Grandpa Hugh for me, and I'll be concocting it today for
Grandpa Hugh.â
Liam was both emotional and thrilled . âReally?! That's
great!â
Sadie suddenly asked, âThen why arenât you hurrying over there? My dad doesnât need your
attention here.â
Kayson smiled and left the hospital ward.
Once he left, Liam admonished Sadie. âWhy are you talking to Kayson in this tone?â
âI've always been using this tone!â Sadie furrowed her brows.
Liam paused, staying silent for a beat, and then told her,â Be nicer to him next time. It was Kayson
who helped us when the direct lineage came for us last time..."
Sadie could not help recalling how Kayson had looked when he had put out the fire last night and
grew even more frustrated. âGot it! Il try!â
Kayson had no idea about Sadieâs complicated feelings as he reached Bwell Therapeutics and got
Lindsy's assistance to start concocting the herbs for Hugh. He had even taught the girl some
medical knowledge. She was a famous doctor's granddaughter, after all, so she was rather talented
in the medical field.
Kayson actually felt like taking her in as a mentee and asked, âLindsy, are you interested in learning
about medicine from me?â
This stunned Lindsy, who asked in delight, âAre you willing to teach me?!â.
Kayson nodded, causing Lindsy to flush from excitement, but she suddenly froze. Hanging her head,
she probed carefully, âUh... Can I not formally acknowledge you as my master?â
Kayson nodded after a pause. âYeah, no need for that. I'm so young that it's too early for all those
formalities. âI just think that you're very bright and I want to teach you what I know.â
Lindsy was overjoyed. In that case... of course she was willing to learn from him! If she had to
acknowledge Kayson as her mentor formally... she might not be as keen to do it.
Around two hours later, Kayson took the medicine that he had concocted back to the Wolfenden
mansion. Hugh was in the midst of his morning workout and was delighted to see Kayson come
back.
Kayson asked, âGrandpa Hugh, you were an inner energy fighter before you were injured, right?â
âYeah, but I was too young and arrogant back then. I offended someone and I was crushed to this
state,â Hugh
answered with a chortle. Kayson could not help smiling. âI alleviated some of your injury when I first
got here, but I didn't fully cure it. That's why your inner energy hasn't completely recovered.
âHere's the chance. I concocted this medicine, and you'll be able to recover your abilities after
taking it.â
When the Allens had sent Titus Wood after Hugh back then, the latter had been hurt again and his
old injury had worsened.
Hugh was overjoyed. âReally?â
Kayson nodded and retrieved the medicine he had prepared. Hugh was so ecstatic that he took the
medicine on the spot.
