Chapter 794 Jude nodded in feigned sternness, but his eyes glowed when they landed on Naomi. LL
âThis is Living Reaper's mentee, Ms.
Naomi Lynn? I've heard of your name in Metrocity.â Naomi greeted politely, âNice to meet you, Mr.
Held.â Jude asked flatly, âWhy don't you work in Metrocity?â His tone was kind of strict, almost like
he was questioning Naomi.
While Naomi did not like the tone, she replied nonetheless, âI'm fond of my hometown and thought
I should come back and serve with what I've gained.â Jude did notseem to appreciate her thoughts
as he commented disdainfully , âFool.
You can only showcase your abilities to the best in Metrocity.
"With Living Reaper's reputation, your opportunities and payment in Metrocity will be much better
than regular people.
"You can't even judge which place is more suitable for your growth? I wonder what your mentor
teaches you.
âSomewhere so backward like Skyriv versus Metrocity ...
This is the difference between a city and a village!" Naomi was upset.
Her reply of being fond of her hometown was not a remark made in passing just to answer Jude.
She genuinely thought so.
After all, many Admiralporium subsidiaries had tried recruiting her, and the offers made were higher
one after another-she would haveagreed then! It went without saying that she could barely hold it
in when Jude insulted Skyriv like this.
Perhaps Felicity noticed her emotional change as she went up to hold her palm.
It calmed Naomi enough from lashing out, but she stayed rooted without speaking another word.
Felicity asked awkwardly, âMr.
Held, I'll take Naomi in to check on Captain Wolke's injury first.â âAs you wish,â Jude replied
indifferently.
He glanced at Kayson and ignored him because he assumed young people in Admiralporium
around the latter's age were useless and required no more attention from him
Kayson did not mind his attitude and followed them into the cave.
There were several team members who were unconscious.
Campian had sustained the most serious injuries and had only stayed alive because the team
doctors did all theycould to keep him there.
Naomi's expression turned solemn when she saw Campianâs state.
She hurried over and said bitterly after a moment, âI'm sorry, I can't help the captain...â Willow was
appalled.
âNaomi, no! Our captain can't die! How will we get another amazing captain like him if he'sgone!?â
The girl broke into tears now.
Naomi turned to Kayson with a hopeful gaze.
Willow also snapped back to reality and yanked Kayson over by his hand.
âKayson, you'll be able to save the captain, right? You can do it!" Kayson scanned the man and
answered, âDonât worry, Captain Wolke wonâtdie yet with me around.â Willow was overjoyed.
âI'll give you all my savings as long as you can save him!â Kayson was rendered speechless.
âThat's not necessary.
Not only do I have the title of the special task force agent, but even if I didn't, I wouldn't possibly
just watch Captain Wolke die when he's considered afriend.â Kayson asked for some herbs from
Naomi and went aside to start grinding them.
Naomi rolled her eyes again.
That b*stard was avoiding her once more! About ten minutes or so later, Kayson concocted a
medicine ball that was coarsely made and collected some herbal juicebefore feeding all of them to
Campian.
The man's injuries began to heal in a while.
The progress was limited, but he regained consciousness.
"Cough! Cough!â Campian hacked a violent cough, evidence that Kayson's herbal juice and pill were
effective.
It was magical! Naomi was baffled as she watched Campian, who she could not help, wake up under
Kayson's aid.
