Chapter 303 The Angry Lin Haocheng

"Li Chen, I’m so scared!"

"How could he... how could he do this to me, I... sob sob..."

Su Xiao leaned against Li Chen’s chest, shivering with dread.

Just thinking about Lin Haocheng drugging her and intending to hand her over to other men, she cried even harder, tears streaming down her face.

She felt both anger and fear.

Her graceful body trembled, clearly terrified to the extreme.

"Teacher, I’m here with you, I won’t let anyone hurt you."

Li Chen held her tightly, soothing her in a hushed tone.

Just then, the door was pushed open, and footsteps sounded. Li Chen twisted his head sharply. It wasn’t Lin Haocheng, but a middle-aged man in a suit and leather shoes, who looked to be about fifty years old.

The man had a lewd smile on his face, humming a tune while loosening the tie around his neck.

But when he saw Li Chen and Su Xiao huddled together on the bed, he was momentarily stunned.

"Who the hell is this punk? Get the fuck out..." The man glanced at Su Xiao, the lewdness in his eyes intensifying, then he turned to Li Chen and barked angrily.

"You lot with your filthy deeds, I’ve already called the cops, they’ll be here any minute," Li Chen said indifferently, giving his smartphone a little shake.

These loan sharks are no saints, among them many desperados.

With his skills, he wasn’t afraid of direct confrontation, but it was the hidden dangers that were hard to prevent. Threatening to call the police was an effective scare tactic.

"Pfft! Motherfucker!"

The middle-aged man’s face turned wary. He spat viciously, his face contorted with unbridled rage, "That son of a bitch Lin Haocheng, playing tricks on me? I’ll fucking end him."

With that, he stormed out, slamming the door behind him.

Li Chen didn’t pay him any further attention and turned to the woman in his arms. "Teacher Su, are you feeling a bit better? Let’s get out of here first..."

"Okay!"

Disgusted by her husband’s vile actions, Su Xiao couldn’t wait to leave.

However, as she tried to get up, she stumbled and fell back into Li Chen’s embrace.

"Li Chen, I..."

"Let me help you!"

Li Chen said, and without any regard for her embarrassment, he supported her to stand, almost cradling her in his arms as they left the room.

Before they even got out of the hallway, they saw Lin Haocheng storming out from the stairwell, fuming.

"It’s you!"

Haocheng paused for a moment when he saw Li Chen.

Then, seeing Su Xiao almost in Li Chen’s arms, his face turned livid with rage, his expression grew fierce.

"Your name is Li Chen, right? This is a matter between my wife and me. How come you’re here? Who invited you?" he demanded in a deep voice.

"Scumbag!" Li Chen spat contemptuously, "A man like you doesn’t deserve to be called a man. Teacher Su was just unfortunate enough to be deceived by a piece of trash like you."

Lin Haocheng was about to explode with anger.

His face turned from blue to purple with rage.

Then, coldly, he said, "I don’t know what you’re talking about. Xiao Xiao and I were just out having fun. How did you get here, and you dare to hold my wife? Let her go."

"Xiao Xiao, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell? I just had something urgent to deal with and had to step out for a bit."

When he looked at Su Xiao, his face feigned concern as he reached to take her from Li Chen’s arms.

"Hypocrite!"

Li Chen’s face was cold as he shoved Haocheng away, "Teacher Su, let’s go!"

When Haocheng approached again, Li Chen sent him flying with an elbow, leaving him kneeling on the ground, his face contorted with pain.

As Li Chen and Teacher Su were about to enter the stairwell, Haocheng yelled after them, "Wow, Su Xiao, cheating on me with some guy, huh?"

"If you dare to leave with him today, I won’t let you off the hook; don’t even think about going back to school. I’ll expose your disgraceful faces."

What’s it called when the guilty party files the lawsuit first?

This was it.

Teacher Su Xiao hesitated for a moment, then looked up at Li Chen, uncertainty in her expression.

"Teacher, can’t you see clearly yet? Some men, you just can’t wait for them to turn around. I’ll take you away."

Li Chen’s stance was firm, holding Teacher Su Xiao as they left.

He knew that this teacher was simply too soft-hearted, too kind.

Teacher Su Xiao might not be his first love, but she surpassed that first love. She was the first woman he had a crush on in his naïve youth.

He may be a bit high-handed, overly interfering, but what’s done is done. He absolutely couldn’t let her continue making the same mistake, wasting the rest of her life on a scumbag.

Once out of the hotel and in the car, Su Xiao slowly began to recover a bit.

"Sob sob..."

Sitting there, she covered her face and started to cry again.

Her heartbroken state was too much for Li Chen to bear. He gently patted her shoulder, continuing to comfort her.

"Teacher, if sincerity can’t bloom, let it grow thorns!"

"It’s really not worth it for such a scumbag."

As she sobbed, Teacher Su Xiao said softly, "I should’ve given up hope on him. I saw that he changed a lot these past days, and for the sake of our child, I wanted to give him another chance."

"I never imagined that he could commit such a beastly act."

As she spoke, her tears flowed more fiercely, and after a while, she lifted her head to look at Li Chen, "Li Chen, am I very foolish! You had warned me, yet I didn’t listen to you."
